Check this out.......
Not only the greatest innovator, but perhaps the best rider to ever lock into a pair of footholds, has developed, and is currently manufacturing a new hull.
Rick Roy will be unveiling "The Rickter" at the World Finals this year,
as well as some other trick new parts to go with it.
I've had the privilege of riding the Rickter in Seychelles, which included overhead surf, as well as flatwater.
Until then I had never ridden a ski that was comfortable slashing up overhead surf one minute then doing flatwater backy's the next.
Its going to open up a whole new chapter for freestyle.

Guess who's engines are being spec'd in the FS-1.

Not saying it wont work. Think it's funny that it can be universal without some special attection to impeller , ride plate , handle pole length. In one way you are right. When you go and ride your ski in the surf it is you that is making it work in the surf.Your ski was designed to be ridden on flat water.Do you own one?

We have all been on here bitching about the IJSBA and its judging of freestyle for several years now. Why doesn't somebody with promotional skills start a new sanctioning body for a totally seperate string of events? Have the minds of the sport collaborate and set up guidelines, secure venues and court the media. There are several on here with the passion, ability, respect, know how and means to set a new standard.

The surf guys put together a world tour and it has been growing each year.

It's happening actually, and next year is hopefully going to be a glimpse of it.

actually, the same ride plate, intake grate and prop can be used from flat water to surf. Oh, the pole, well guess what, in about 2-3 minutes you can change the length on it. It is adjustable.

as far as power level goes, you can take a flatwater specific ski and ride it in the surf, whereas a surf boat built for that purpose may not be great. But this one will handle both duties just fine.

I think w/ the rocker hull it will be less likely to nose in coming down a wave and is wider for more stability. Also the strakes are not too deep so it should be loose. The ski comes w/ a front bumper that is removable so if you do nose it in, you just replace the front bumper. This hull was designed for surf too.. Don't count it out yet...

i think bun should of got first place anyways.hes the only guy out there that did 3 clean backflips in a row

besides the lawndarted backy, the only think rok had on him was the helicopter and bun did it on legal boat that was longer and heavier. lee stone had the highest Double Up backy that ive seen so far

i think its funny that everyone is claiming its a surf boat (im not saying it isnt but its not fair to make assumptions either way) before they have even ridden it..the only feedback about it in the surf comes from a flatwater rider..
