There will always be contraversy at the WF because that's where all the new stuff is released.

When I have taken all this time to learn how to ride my ski and prevent it from pearling in the surf.They go and come out with a ski that will work in the surf. I only have one thing to say about my ski. It does not suffer from o.i.s.a.
over inflated self appraisal. I'm sure it's a great ski considering they took the time to R and D and considered how can we make this better than what is now being manufactured.

The japanese riders have shortened hulls they compete on in japan (because they are legal for competition there) but they have different, longer hulls they only compete at the wf(to stay legal) . They spend a fair amount of time and money to build boats, travel and practice over here. I can understand their point. Rok and stone rode incredibly well but didn't follow the rules.

The Surf competitions seem like so much more fun....more laid back and more of a freeride atmosphere. The truth is...not enough people care about the ijsba racing OR flatwater freestyle for it to get any better. I mean, how many people REALLY compete in flatwater freestyle in the world? 30? 35? I think the riders should just judge each other....and it should be unlimited.

It just seems a bit archaic to me. I guess it is a good sideshow to the racing..... I don't know. I don't have any interest in going out to Havasu.

The thought does cross your mind,What were they thinking?. They would'nt notice. Let's build a ski here's the rule book but I don't like the length rule. They took a chance and they lost.Sadly the rider suffered most.
