It fits pretty well...I think the silicone hose may rub against the side but I will know for sure in the next couple of weekends.

It will be close but I haven't finalized all the parts alignment either.

I will post pics when I take em...

lookimg good preston as far as the straps i just doubled up on the two inserts between tank and water box and the short strap goes to the the battery stray

thanks man...

I think I will just double them up for now. JM may have some captured brackets for me but I have never seen them before.

Does anyone have pics of them? Will they hold 2 straps?

Sunday progress...

I ran into some roadblocks today. Didn't even start turfing today, although my intentions were there. I am bit nervous about turfing, since I have never done it myself.

I watched all of wamiltons videos today, and read as many threads as I could find.

I would really love to do the sides in one piece, but I am afraid that it may be just too much to take one...especially for doing it on my own the first time.

Pics I took just before I started turfing...so I thought:

weekend #4 build 001.jpgweekend #4 build 003.jpg

I ended up putting some S-glass on my front foot hold and some over the pump inserts just to be on the safe side. That prevented me from starting my turf job...I ended working on other things that took up all my time.

How many things do you have left to do before water testing? Just turf, gas tank, waterbox, battery mounting? You need to bring this thing to your house so it's not just a weekly Sunday project

I installed steering cable...

Also, had to redrill the holes for the pole bracket/plates since I laid carbon underneath yesterday.

*Bad news*...didn't pay attention and the drill chuck got part of the nice paint job:(:(

The ski came with some backing plates but they didn't line up right after I laid the carbon. I had to enlarge some of the holes and grind some metal off...that took a while.

Also replaced all the bolts with some new ones. Didn't take any photos because I was rushing to meet up my buddies to watch the Atlanta SX that my buddy taped.

I was pretty deflated today...I thought I would have had the sides turfed today but I was able to work on other things that needed to get done I guess.

I am constantly amazed at how many hours go into building these skis...the gf knows that I will be at the shop the next 3-4 weekends and she appreciates the stamina

but I tell ya, today sucked for sure...compared to a SF out of the mold, this ski is far beyond that but I still have so much to do...it's coming along though

We had nice temps yesterday here in Jax, Fl, so it kinda felt like a very mild summer day...I have to remember that it's still Feb and I have plenty of time before summer to complete everything.

I am hoping that I will have it completed by the end of March.

I just sold my house a few months ago and my gf has no garage at her home. No tools either. My buddies shop is at the beach, about 20 minute drive from her house. My ski is located there.

I have a puppy and I am studying T-SQL during the week + exercising + cooking etc...plus gas is nearing $4.00 which sucks...

I will start trying to get there one weekday each week after I get it turfed... Sometimes it's just not worth going out during the week for a few hours when I need a long stretch of time to get certain parts done.

I'll be in the water as soon as I can though...

Have you been riding much?

Have you been riding much?

No, not really man. Ive missed quite a few weekend rides just because of being busy and having limited time at home. I can't wait for daylight savings so I have the option of riding after work when the surf is good. I have a few things I've been needing to do with my ski that I've been putting off so I can ride. I got started on it this morning and I plan on picking away at it this week after work hopefully and should be in the water next week with a ski that needs nothing and is setup how I want it

Big fun to be had by everyone
It's up to you, It surely can be done
Young and old are doing it, I'm told
Just one try, and you too will be sold
It's called Le Freak! They're doing it night and day

All that pressure got you down
Has your head spinning all around
Feel the rhythm, check the ride
Come on along and have a real good time
Like the days of stopping at the Savoy
Now we freak, oh what a joy
Just come on down, to fifty four
Find a spot out on the floor
