The area above the top ring---

Cylinder ridge at top of bore is unworn as the pistons ring placement does not extend to that height @ TDC. Unworn ridge also collects carbon, So these two factors together wear the piston above the top ring. This area of the piston gets little attention from me

edit: looks like a 4 stroke piston with all the cam ground marks, WTF!

Honestly, this is the best thread in the history of this site. It is almost as funny as Dumb and Dumber. Just when you think someone can't be any dumber, they prove you wrong. lol

It's better to keep your mouth shut and let others see you as a fool, than open your mouth and prove to them you are.

If u can build the best skis on the east.... Why can't u install bearings into a solas pump?? This thread started in an ok way. But the bully posts make no sense. Maybe some people should use quality bearings rather than the least expensive.

Epoxy used to fill casting voids(areas that factory leave for various reasons... Less manufacturing costs mostly.. ) added support/structure to achieve shapes one desires.. and strength...
Copy???? I don't make knock off footholds/sponsons. =-O:)

So, You said that is the wrong epoxy to use. Would you use the metal kind, looks like clay, you mix the two parts together? Is that the proper way to fill those holes?

Was wondering how long it would take for you to finally post that picture.

We sent a cylinder out that was mislabeled and accidentally over bored at millennium. An astute engine builder caught it during assembly (thanks).

The customer wanted an engine to run at Daytona so we said go ahead and run this one and we will replace it after Daytona since there wasn't enough time to get another one out.

Engine ran fine.....nice power, no symptoms of the slight over bore. We now have that cylinder and a replacement is on the way. Your picture is of a piston that we knew would receive some wear.....thanks for trying to use it to discredit TPE.

No issues with design or function as you are trying to imply....only a slight misstep on labeling which was caught before it even ran. Do you think the customer wants a refund or a TPE cylinder? ;) I can tell you we are shipping a cylinder if that helps you with the answer at all.
