Between my wedding anniversary on Sat and mothers day on Sun all I could get done was to bond in water lines, cut down that sheet of blue insulation board to fill bottom of the tray and since I sanded bottom of the bilge I ground out and filled the couple of voids left from vacuum bagging. Hope to be able to get the tray done this week.

Actually yes I guess I did make a little progress. Some is always better than none

So I re-enforced my exhaust (almost seems a shame to cover it), got foam in and finished bilge floor.

I need anybodies opinion.

Placing my footholds. I have never done this and I need to know if I have them in about the right spot. I have the toes 13" from the lower dash panel. I do have the shortened hull 3"

Tray and footholds ready for a layer of glass so I can bag in the carbon. Nose cap ready to be bonded in.

So I have the nose cap bonded in needs body work so nothing really to see there. I am stoked that I got the tray deck in. 1 ply 9oz fiberglass to seal it and 3 plies 19oz carbon twill. Actually had it off the stand in a nose up riding stance with the pole in position and in the footholds it feels perfect.

Tray DONE. Little touch up and it is ready for turf. Two clocked plies 10oz plain weave and one ply 19oz twill. A couple wrinkles but not worried they will be covered by turf. It is tough to take pictures of all carbon fiber. It really does look a lot better in person

Got a chance to weigh it. Loose a little here and a little there it adds up. From what I've read these should be 115-120lbs stock.

Yeah that ain't gonna happen. Just ordered turf today and still need to finish the welding on the handlepole plus about a million other things. I'm hoping a week but would be happy with two.

Inside the nose I had hand laid in the carbon. Forward of the handlepole tray went in perfect where the tray was had some dry fabric on the edges. That 19oz takes a lot of resin to wet it out. I ground out the dry fabric and bagged in a 3ply 19oz, 2 ply 10oz and 2ply 5.7oz reinforcing layer also have 6 plies of 5.7 oz bonding the hood channel back in. It seems like a lot but is it is less than a quarter pound of carbon work

I feel much better having the handlepole tray area vacuumed in all the way to the bond line

Engine compartment DONE. Finish layer of bling. Got midshaft housing rebuilt by JetManiac with new Cold Fusion midshaft (unbelievable difference). And got tray prepped for turf.

Things are starting to come together quick

Any idea what throttle cable (length or year of ski)
is used when changing from a 61x to a 62t with dual carbs? Anyone!

I should have said for a SN superjet.

The one that came off of this with twin Mikuni carbs was 91in. Those had the front mount cable. My new set up has the rear mounted cable. Hopefully the new cable I got is long enough

Make sure you spend a lot of time with the underpadding before you turf..comfortable holds are super important!

RN throttle cables are shorter that SN. A SN can be used for both but a RN cable can only be used for front mount carb
