If your starting all over just throw in a oem 155 and worry about spending big pump money later down the road when you go up in motor size.

Not sure if chixwithtrix wants to cut/grid, re-fiberglass her new ski to fit a 155.

If she went that route, would make more sense to go with a oem large hub 160.

148 would be alot less headache.

Idk if you need to, my 148 had atleast 8mm of space on each side.

My Pump has been flawless so far. You think the pump might of got damaged during shipping? You said your crate was beat up. Have you tried another 148 impeller just to see?

I'm done with dealing with the issues and potential issues with this pump. I want to upgrade in the future so might as well nut up and do it now.

Just looking for a setback 148, not interested in changing the tunnel for a 155.

Maxx also makes a nice setback 148, but last I heard, there driveshafts suck.

Or save a little and buy the Solas 148 non-setback, on sale from JM for $764, for wear ring and stator section. Have assemble it for you, done and done.

I couldn't imagine the new 50cal be designed to only fit up to a 148 pump. Especially being the flatwater bottom deck. I think the only thing that would have to be changed would be the pump shoe which she might want to remove and reinstall anyway

The old footrocket would fit 155, but you had to order it that way.
I'm not sure what the clearances is like in the pump area, it's a tight fit with my 148 on the gen 1 rocket.

I'm sure they used sikaflex to glue the shoe in, so your be able to cut it out.

I have installed many shoes, I have had great luck with sikaflex.

Holy gap, that might fit a 155 shoe, if it did, I would think that tunnel IS big enough as it's straight.

Make sure you check the wait time I don't remember who it was but someone on here waited like a year

Depending on the reduction nozzle size you will probably be 9/15 or 10/16 skat d75

She is talking to JM, won't have the year wait time (fast elements).

See what JM recommends.
My setup xs865ss with 6/15 skat, cutback 5mm, 148. Pulls real hard all the way into the 50s.
Ran the 7/12 skat on my buddies 771 and that work nicely for his setup. So, I would say in that range. Cut back makes it act like a steeper prop.

I was running a 7/14 in my Krash pump and it hit like and animal BUT that was with a 89mm nozzle and a 701
