Not sure how yours is but my ratchet was intended to mount to the hood...failure usually occures with the hood hooks...to me it was pointless because when you flop the hood can still pop off. run your ratchet from hull to hull so it straps the hood on rather than strapping the hood to one point.
It has the front hood latch and a ratchet strap, not sure how the strap works honestly. I've spent maybe a total of an hour with the ski and that was pulling the pump out...so I know very little about it.

Take the alignment pins out of the pump. That's what did it for mine. It's been flawless since install.

It's absolutely terrible that you spend that sort of money on a hull and go through this ,aftermarket or not ,good luck with the build !,

What kind of pump are you looking for?

Did you try taking the pin out like x2 said?
I'm going to exchange the pump with Krash for hopefully a working one.

I don't know what's up with this one, but with the CF tool and shims it becomes un-turnable as soon as you start to tighten it. The impeller touches the wear ring a bit when out of the ski, but the Krash pump isn't a whole unit when not attached to the shoe so there is no telling with it all loose.

Fk it, I'm sending the Krash pump back for a refund. I'll take the hit and wait to get the right shiz.

Currently in the market for a set back pump, shaft, and trim setup

You might have to pull the shoe and start all over. Once you have it right this pump does work well. If Chris didn't put your shoe in correct it's not gonna work. Pull the dowl pins and the shoe and assemble the pump as a whole. Nozzle to shoe all bolted up. Test fit it and get the prop centered in the wear ring and tighten the 4 bolts down. Put the entire unit into the ski as one. Check alignment and mock it up. Then put your sealer on the pump shoe and assemble. This is the part where you don't mess with it or touch it anymore lol.

Chris used some sort of rtv silicone to put my shoe in so it's EASY to cut it out with a long razor blade.

I assembled my whole pump outside the ski then slid it into place with the shoe area full of silicone. Then bolted everything down and filled all the voids left in the shoe area. My prop would spin then catch on a few areas, so i took a breaker bar and forced it to spin a couple rotations "the Correct way not backwards" and it slowly loosened up. Then i installed the motor and had the starter force a few more seconds of rotation and now its smooth as butter.

That's one way to do it but not the correct way

All this is why i did not get the pump, first runs are never perfect and inevitability will need adjustments and fine tuning
