Yes salt is mother natures loctite for sure, and I've had the worst of the worst, but it has ALWAYS only been difficult on the motor itself, such as head bolts, etc. I've learned A LOT being surrounded by salt water, and ever since I've started using XPS Bombardierlube on everything, I haven't had a problem.
And, I've had good luck using the blue loctite. On the HX I was chasing down a carb/fuel gremlin so I switched from an A/M west coast Venturi flame arrestor kit back to the stock air box setup, and before I started using the blue loctite, I'd have issues with the 6 Allen bolts backing out at times. Used the blue loctite and hadn't had a problem since... it's fairly easy to break free as well (when you're wrenching and WANTING to take them out)
So yea chix, good call on the blue.
Also, please upload the vid. I need some in flight entertainment tomorrow before the plane takes off!
