would love to believe this but guarantee it shows up at your house already damaged in the crate, your pump explodes first ride and seconds after you motor injests water and pops from the warped hull taking on 30L

OMG that is the funniest thread dumb I have seen. Not even a glimmer of hope. I love it hahahaah

I really hope this doesn't happen to anybody but cheers @Lumberjack for a great laugh.

Man, just cause I don't believe an unbreakable hull doesn't exist dosnt mean it does or just cause I don't think this approach is gonna work out for consumers.

I do love the idea and all the innovation overseas, but it is just that "foreign" will the people be taken care of. It's a risk the 12k money holders will take. The fate is in the future. I do hope this all holds water in the end. I know how well the predator rides but skeptical on the .50 cal 1000cc being a well rounded hull. Then again that sxr1500 ain't no joke. She is fast. I see beginners getting messed up this year.

We will see what the future holds, never say never. Similar skepticism was said about the new sxr1500 but look at what is happening at the races the new Kawi is dominating. The value of aftermarket race hulls are going to plummit. You can buy a sxr1500 for 10k and out run a much more expensive triple with 87 octane.

my issue is not if but when your ski breaks and you cant scour the used market for cheap parts or get parts right from the dealer in 2 days. you'll be SOL waiting 36 weeks for parts from Bangladesh and if the wait is anything like what people experienced with buying hulls take that wait and multiple it by 3, youll be lucky getting back on the water that summer.

Big difference. Kawasaki is a legitimate manufacturer.

People aren't hopping on these skis and dominating. Ready to run, but skills not included.

Some people havnt even finished building theirs yet after a long time lol and most are still dealing with little issues here and there and that's just the hull

Read up the last page or so. Like I wrote before when you break down the price of parts coming with the ski for 12k your only paying roughly $1000 for the shortblock . You take krash and their "everything but a motor packaged hull" and it's what 8500 plus shipping . Now add dual 48mm carbs , a brand new bpipe ect and you only end up paying $1000 for the motor . Worse case scenario the motor has a problem I drop in my brand new jet maniac motor sitting right here with ebox ready to go , throw a diff prop in the pump and keep going until the motor issue is resolved . No it's not a great gamble at this stage for a newbie or someone who can't wrench but all I know is everyone I know who are all on am hulls have made a point to tell me they want to try it out when it arrives . No I wouldn't spend 15 or 16k on this ski but 12k was a good number and with what I mentioned above a calculated risk . Also the fact I'm not a rider like some of you guys flipping week after week so that's not my first concern . Hell if hull resilience is everyone's top priority I'm pretty positive there's a ski out there you can hit with a sledgehammer over and over and it causes zero damage lol go buy that . Like I said when I first took the plunge and commented on this post , to each their own and it's a great idea , will it work out ? Who knows . But I choose to hope for the best instead of being that "depressing, bash on anything new , hate different" type of ignorant person . I'm willing to bet everyone in here bashing the ski voted for Hillary

if you blow up the crash motor, you better have a complete motor package with carbs, electrics and exhaust, ready to drop in and run since not one single crash part is going to bolt on to any Yamaha based setup. and going from a 1000cc package to some gutless 701 is going to be disappointing to say the least. 12k is a smokin deal IF it ALL stays together for many seasons and is trouble free.

Good luck brother. I sincerely hope you make them all eat their words but you are definitely taking a risk. Nothing risked, nothing gained I guess.

A risk .. yea . But a calculated one . Iv been around the block and seen plenty of $10k motors on here for $6k after a season of use. Resale value isn't the easiest. So your spending money and losing money any way you look at it but that's a hobby like any other . Build a race car and you'll laugh at the possible loss of funds here . Dump $20k on refreshing an 800hp small block only to blow up its second lap and your screwed . Happens all the time . This sport is cheap compared to other hobbies

Like I said I have a brand new ported jet maniac motor sitting here electronics to carbs ready to go if that happens and that's all I'll ever need power wise so I'm fine with it . This motor is more then I need . Got buddy's with 61x motors with a pipe and head no porting out flipping tigercraft hulls . Hp isn't everything

I'm not reading any of that nonsence. The Krash motor is 150mm rod spacing. Standard Yamaha is like what 118mm? The kavinci motor is only available with rtr skis so I'm assuming the motor mounts are specific to Krash rtr skis. So @emcfetr1 good luck dropping in your jetmaniac motor if your Krash motor blows up

Same goes for pipe too I hope you have an actual b pipe cause it's all different

Same goes for carburators too I hope you have some actual mikunis for your Yamaha

Same goes for you electronics too I hope you have some actual Yamaha electronics for your Yamaha motor

Same goes for your... just kiddin you get the point. Or maybe you don't

I clearly stated I had everything drivetrain ready for replacement if needed . And I could of swore I heard a story about you riding krash skis and even winning an amatuer completion on one so kinda weird you hate them so much . Maybe I have bad information

Regardless of that it's a couple grand risk not an 12k risk like everyone keeps saying . And as I pointed out you loose that amount of money on any of these 10k motors once you run them for a season so it's irrelevant . The ski could catch on fire and I loose the 12k completely and I would still wake up in the morning fine . Like I stated before I'm not buying one for lack of funds . It's an educated decision .

Lets just hope this ends better than those Piranha hulls. Had a few buddies pressuring me to buy one when they were first announced. I thought price was way too good to be true so i paid more and got what i knew would be quality.

Another guy in my area ended up making an "investment" and bought 3. Biggest cluster licorice I have ever seen, cost him 3x what he was told to finally receive the hulls after import costs and shipping from overseas. He is building up the first one to ride and so far every single thing on them has been wrong in some way. You get what you pay for most of the time, and the Krash deal just seems too good to be true once again.

Obviously Krash is much more well known and the import costs etc won't factor into the consumers issues. But again, they gotta be cutting corners somewhere to make a RTR ski for this price. Manufacturing costs go down the larger the run. That is why you see these cheap prices on items when they can pump out 10000 a run from a factory in china.

The problem I see with Krash is that they are not making 10000 skis a run, or even 1000. So the price breaks they would get for large runs just are not there.

Maybe they employ their own Australian version of Oompa Loompas to get the cost down this far.

1) hulls have been out for over a year it's not any new designs
2) their hulls are made in Thailand which no one thinks about . Exchange rate is pretty good dollar to dollar so brings cost down
3) and last I'm willing to bet they are breaking even on all these first skis .

The goal is to get them out there and proven . Their end game is dealerships and mass sales . Many new builders or new product will sell for cost or very cheap to get them in people's hands and get the name out there . Have to prove the product before people will want to pay full price .

No dude I'm saying I think the bottom deck might be different.... to accommodate for the different motor and mounts. I think somewhere it states the kv997 is not available seperate

I don't hate Krash.

It's not available separate right now bc they have limited quantities. After a year they will be along with bigger cylinder options ect . And they also offered up the complete bolt in motor pipe electronic package to anyone who has bought one of the $8500 starter hull packages in the however many recent months for $3500 aka a total of $12k so they wouldn't feel cheated bc no one knew this was coming . So if the motor package will bolt right in the year old existing $8500 hull package that exist before this motor ever did then I presume it uses the same motor mounts and setup as any superjet variant hull out there. And I also believe the b pipe is an actual b pipe the only difference is they are using a longer chamber that's it .

Ok, from a big engine builders standpoint are they nervous(dasa,XScream,et,php)? Or are they just holding their breath. This approach does effect their sales. and so does it for every part on that ski(pole, pump, all little parts) Hull building is meer a hobby to me. So to say it helps or hurts me is irregardless, The fifty cal is not intended for podium at world finals or racing but it is marketed to take surf and moderate rec riding by storm. They will make it or break it. It's an all in move from their stance. A merger would be a great idea. Say a failing company to offer up their service centers. Seadoo ever had a standup worth a damn? Or Polaris? I think if krash will remain a threat worth a damn a serious step or two we are missing still. Gamblers get your money in. All in please then the ship will leave port. I assure you I will be on the outside looking in. This will not effect what I do next unless y'all wanna sell your yamaha stuff for cheap. Lol. I do say good luck and hope this feeds are sport. I really don't delight in people getting burned and run from this extreme side of jetskiing. Good luck, house always wins remember that.
