Krashindustries.com is selling 997cc RTR Skis for $12,000.00

Who told you that 150 turn key skis were pre-sold?

In response to the question where we asked of "how many RTP skis have been ordered so far"....

"We've sold about 150 in the States so far!" - Chris Grace

Which If that is true that's insane! Great for them and the sport........and a ton of work. I only chimed in when someone else posted the 300 skis sold number. That is double what we just heard, so not sure what is going on.

Here is a snip from Krash email on the ~300;

"We are in limited production for our first year and we aim to do
350 units. We have pre-sold nearly 300 already."

This was from October 5th

If this is true its pretty incredible. Thats a hell of alot more than i would have expected them to sell. If they do this right, they can take over a good portion of the market. Prepare to wait longer kids!

I can certainly say with confidence that there has not been this much anticipation for a ski as long as I can remember. I am still waiting like a kid on Christmas. With the incessant "Is it here yet" repeating over and over in my head. Right now I am just hoping I'll have it for Daytona. Not hating or even complaining much just waiting patiently staying occupied.

In the meantime I have to get my carbs rebuilt and all the tshirts done for the Carolina Beach Freeride @ Freemont Park!! That will keep me occupied for another week at least. :)

I just want to get mine before spring. Starting to get cold here anyway...

I ordered mine in June with hopes of an August delivery, then a mid September delivery and then I was hoping to have it for the southern fried free ride. last communication with chris Grace was that by mid week he and Nick would know more about a delivery date because now there's a hold up on start stop switches by the manufacture. I have been very excited for what seems forever and I no longer have any fingernails left but I too am on the fence about maybe retracting my deposit only to return when the bugs are figured out.

If these were being build in an assembly line fashion, it would be quicker to install driveline into the bottom deck. Then install the top deck. But these are not gonna happen this way...... How long does it take to do a complete Pump, driveline, electonics, pole, steering, plumbing, etc etc...... You are looking at a day at least to start. If you were to get 4 guys and each have a set task. I would guess every 4 hours a ski could be completed in a 8-10 hour day. This is providing everything bolts in place. And honestly, I do not see that happening. 150 skis? I dont think RRP has done 150 skis in a 4 year period.
I have a hard time believing that there are 150 - 300 already ordered............. sorry.

Are you serious?

RRP only 150 skis in 4 years.....
If that’s the case I’ve built 10% of them....

The sport is a bit bigger world wide than most realize, a small percentage of the parts development I’ve been involved in get sold to the US.

The team behind this is also a lot bigger than most realize and the volume of skis pre ordered worldwide would surprise all of you too.

Testing? why do you think this is public knowledge?

Ive ridden it, so have a lot of others with a few clues how stuff works and I think what Krash has done is amazing.

You are a visible person on this forum and obviously passionate, but, here is a good example of not knowing what you don’t know.

Unlike the 2018 Superjet with BNG, this will be worth the wait

Now that I think about it. 150 is low. Maybe in 2 years. Unfortunately there is not accurate data. You seen TC Freeride post "we got a shipment coming in" it will be 6 hulls. Thrust use to post the same. Would imagine Blowsion the same. Yes, there is a larger world than what we see on these sites.

I'm pretty sure rickter does about 200 hulls a year + or - worldwide. Tc has the us on lock for sales and ricks footprint in Russia is also a big one. But 150 in the u.s ? Come on ! Is there even 1 here running yet? Link does a lot of great stuff for some of the Aussie riders and is very intelligent from what i have seen. Link how does it go together with the crank etc, do you know they're game plan for replacement parts? If they're 150 units sold they need to have at least a 15 percent parts inventory on common wear items? Who is building and tuning these? I know you know as Well as many other builders you can have 2 of the same exact skis and they need/require different tuning. I'm very curious of the running gear because it will open up the doors for other hull manufacturers to get a more affordable running gear therefore bringing the costs of the complete build down. Just worried it will increase the headache. Let me know

I bet they show up by summer 2018.

You obviously don't know how "jetski time" works. You alsways double the number then up the unit by 1 degree. For example if anyone says the parts not in stock and I'll have it in 3 months you make that 3 a 6 but change months to years and you have a better chance of a date being hit but still no promises.

Yeah. So badass. If I hadn't just spent almost half this much on just a rickter hull and few parts id be all over it. I'm definitely jumping on board after this current build is done.

People can hate all they want about quality and getting burned. Fact is that krash has stayed in the game and not backed off their fury of innovation since they started. They push the industry harder than anyone else. People try and bash them. But those same people support other builders or vendors that have had just as many problems.

Thanks krash, and Nick. Glad to see this out and can't wait to see a ton more riders out there because of it.

Absolutely. If anyone is “serious” about finding out the facts, I would encourage a “call” into Chris or Nick. The rest is just noise.

I am questioning weather this thread should even be in the market place. The Original poster is not selling a ski he is just referring you to a site and comnenting. Also for sale threads are not suppose to have negative remarks as per site rules. Not sure where it should go but whole skis for sale seem wrong to me.

Good Call. I guess I never noticed this was in "Whole" skis for sale. Moved.

What facts? The facts are it's still untested by a handful of riders. The facts are they have to make a new top deck for the pipe to clear. The facts are it's a complete Taiwanese jet ski and the fact is were all still waiting. Do you know how.much r and d Yamaha or ktm puts into units before releasing them and they still have problems. The fact is whoever signed off on this from a business standpoint is wrong. Should have just copied an sj longblock or maybe one with powervalves,b pipe etc you guys would be millionaires. Its going to take them years to get this dialed. Sorry for the rant hope it works out for you guys

So you spoke with them? (About the top deck, etc)?
