So I put $500 down on my best/safest credit card back in October. FYI, if you do so, you also need to email Chris Grace and let him know you've put a deposit down. He will congratulate you, give you some timelines, and also send you a pre-sale receipt which I do believe I signed and sent back.

Thing is you MUST pay the deposit online at - http://krashindustries.com/make-a-payment/. For those in the computer field - this is an open site on TCP port 80 - which is kind of a no-no in terms of transactional websites which are usually https over port 443. First things first, there is really no way of telling if krashindustries.com is the legit site, or if some internet hacker has spoofed the URL onto their own servers for you to give your credit card. This is IT Security 101 kind of stuff and those should be very careful and avoid giving credit cards out to these types of sites (HTTP). HTTPS provides limited security by way of authorized certification from a trusted certificate authority (Verisign, Comodo, others etc). HTTP does NOT provide this limited security. Does this mean the transaction is false or legit? Absolutely not. What it means though is the transaction COULD be compromised through the web.

I sure hope I get my ski, but its been over a month since Chris has emailed me; though I am not waiting for a response actually.

That last email to me stated something to do with bad batch of production starters - where the prototype starters were better than the actual production runs and so Krash is now going to put what he called an "OEM starter" in all the rtr skis.

Use your judgement. I've put my trust in them.

I put my deposit down in sept and never got any kind of receipt. I’ve also been lied to numerous times so I really don’t know what to believe anymore. I was told a couple weeks ago that I’m looking at January. But I was also told back in sept that it should be ready for the end of October but the last time I talked to Chris I found out it wasn’t even in the states yet. So I really donno what to do or how long to wait b4 I start to freak out cause I personal had to pull a lot of strings to come up with the cash for this ski and I just want the ski so I know this is all legit. If anyone has any in site on this please message me

I did all of my payments through paypal, can you not do it that way anymore? The headpipe still looks kinda funky.. looks like they moved the battery mout too compared to the skis from a year ago.

A large shipment of hulls has been in NJ since August which shipped via boat. The plan back then was to have the engines completed and air freighted in order to have them land in NJ before the hulls. But we all know how that turned out. I knew this back then. The latest info is that engines for the first 10 units will be shipping via air freight from Aus on Friday the 15th. I was told they are working around the clock for a delivery to me before Christmas. The 3 RTPs in my order are a part of that first 10. This info is direct from Krash to me as of 3 days ago.

I understand putting your name down for something like this but you couldn’t pay me to pay for something that had never been built and wasn’t even in production yet. I’d be pretty mad if I had that much money tied up in something and it was taking that long for results. I know it’s a slow process but dang. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Just seems like delay after delay with no results and a whole lot of money being held with nothing to show for it. Just my 2 cents.

A 500$ 100% refundable deposit isnt alot or a very big risk

Watch the documentary, "Revenge of the electric car". In that documentary pay attention to market set-backs in which Tesla had in coming to market; delays, sidelines, issues. Those who pre-purchased Tesla cars in like 2010~2012 knew what to and what not to expect. Most pre-purchases were like investments for the company in fact. The company, Tesla, almost went completely bankrupt at the beginning which was also caused by the market crash in 2009. Also plagued by Space-X explosions... Now look where Tesla and Elon Musk is.

Take from it what you will - its just a demonstration of the rise and set-backs from a start-up company. Perhaps the venue (Electric cars) may be of interest considering we are all motor heads. Companies rise and fail ALL THE TIME.

Not to say that will happen to Krash in terms of a success story - in fact many companies can and DO fail very early-on. Will Krash become the new 'KTM' for the water as KTM is to dirt bikes???

My point is, my 'investment' isn't 'tied up'. I have made no fate decisions which in the end will burn me. Life goes on at $500. Life will go on at $12,000. I made my choice and chose to possibly make a difference in this sport. Will I give up my AM Yamaha boat? (Which btw only has like 2 actual Yamaha parts in it!) - Probably not until the next best thing comes around. At this specific point I do not see anything amazing coming out of Yamaha nor Kawasaki - no offense to the new SXR. Their skis are just not my cup of tea. Krash is doing the opposite of the industry and I like the idea.

I would have never pre-ordered an SXR.

If I do end up getting my RTP Reaper (Which is what I ordered), I DO expect it to have issues. FIXABLE issues, and possibly even at my cost.

If 250 people put up $500 each thats $125,000 in Krash's deposit pocket.

Seems to me thats just enough to build the first 10x skis at $12,500 each shipped with very little offset from Krash's books. But wait... Those 10x skis get sold for another cool $125,000. Then the cycle repeats. With all things perfect Krash may continue to do this based on supply/demand... And if the demand increases with having successful skis then I'd expect the deposit costs to rise significantly in order for Krash to have injected cash-flow to fulfill orders to build skis faster for that demand.

So, I see Krash just posted an employment position for a Financial Controller. This is good and interesting as the company hopefully starts to see increased cashflow.

If it’s taken this long to get the first 10 I’d hate to be one of the other 240 that made a $500 deposit for one of these. You’d be waiting for years lol

I don't think it's reasonable to assume that it would take as long for the following batches. Even given the known delays. One has to assume that issues such as the contractors who turned out product that failed QA would be weeded out and delivery times would be closer to reality based on experience. Also, moving the machining process in house will make a huge difference.

Was it a perfect rollout? Is there even such a thing? I believe even at this undelivered point it has been the best rollout of a new ski, pump, engine, and pole/steering by a third party. Ever. Has it even been done? I don't think so.

They can keep my $500 and I'll wait till its right. I have literally had more money than this on the table at Bally's Atlantic City in a Hold'em game.

Ever hear of a Hydrospace S4? Stand-up. 2 cylinder. 4 stroke. Turbo charged. Similar in size to a Seadoo 3d
If a hydro space was only 2cyl and turbod and the size of a 3D for a race ski that would be the worst r&d in racing history. Besides a blunder jet.
