Update time...better late then never ha, Well the two halves are now back to one, joined them with Epoxy+microballoons seemed to work well and feels extremely strong, I also filled the inside void and will reinforce with cloth later.

I am now in the process of shaping the nose with some pink foam, its was like a pink wonderland in my garage over the weekend, what a mess!!
First tip i learned, a completely flat hood is fugly! so i am going to be shaping the topside with some foam to make it look a little more pleasing to the eye, Second thing I learned, shaping the nose from scratch sucks ballz! so hard to try and visualize what its going to look like and how to shape it so it doesn't look horrible lol. Also cut the gunwales out back kinda going to make em look like the KDX hull.

Ya you need some ridge on the hood, but if you add now you gotta be concerned about the weight.

Nose doesnt look like you have a lot of room to make anything else, But I would say maybe make sharper lines to match the gunwhales better. perhaps follow the hood line?

Definitely need something on the hood cause it ain't to pretty to look at right now lol. as the hood sits it is still super light (as compared to stock) so adding some ridges should be ok weight wise.

I do plan on matching hood lines into the nose, I has to add that extra foam ontop thats why it isn't shaped yet. Hopefully follow hood lines into the nose. nose is very short, like really short, finding it hard to be able to shape it and still blend the looks of the ski into it. I was originally planning on doing like a stealth bomber look with many facets and angles but it really didn't look to good. I'll keep playing with it though.

wow, were are all the subscribers to the thread? Major progress on the ski and no comments....

^^ They are all out enjoying the water with their skis, ha.

Glued some foam to the hood last night, gonna try and shape some tonight. I also added a rockered backend kinda like the GENIII BOBs, so I'll see how that turned out as well. Get some pictures when I can.

On a side note, I didn't have wax paper but I taped some Heavy Duty aluminum foil to the bench and used it as a surface to wet out the cloth before laying it and I must say what a huge difference that was especially using the heavy 17oz cloth, I was able to saturate the cloth and squeegee excess resin and then lay the cloth with easy. it helped tremedously in keeping the weight down by eliminating the excess resin and also each layer seemed to compress and confrom much better and also kept the air bubbles and pockets of air at bay. I wish I would have done this sooner!!!

Sweet! Glad to see your getting some work done Nate! Wont be too much longer and she will be ready for paint!

I am starting to feel the pressure, only a few more weeks then its Torch Lake! Gotta have it done before then and at least ride it once lol.

I am just keeping the fingers cross that it rides OK and all this work wasn't for nothing haha, cause that would suck!

yup like you said its either gonna be awesome or go in the trash. lol

51 days

Since I am a big stickler for details at least it will look pretty sitting at the curb waiting for the garbage men if it comes to that.
Or ill just have to cut in in half and put it on the garage wall as garage art lol.
Hopefully it doesn't come to that though lol.

Did some more shaping last night, got the hood ridges up and blended into the nose and the nose is pretty much going to stay as is. I little bit of fine tuning and I'll be ready for major amounts of glassing. finally coming together.
