Nope. If there is a ride it may not be published as "a ride".
you must be on your best behavior, observe all no wake rules, and OBEY the 10 o'clock quiet time.
So far no one will step up to set it up at Lanier in 10... I have a spot to do it at Allatoona, but I can understand that Lanier has better potential. But so far.... ancake:
long story short-
if u want to do this-
set a date and location and post it up.
People will come or not come
if 5 people come-you have a freeride in my opinion!
My entire 'friend list' comes from freerides and races.
I host the Smith Lake Assault every year here in Cullman AL. It is pretty simple for my event. I set a date, post it up, call the local BBQ joint and tell him what time and days to deliver food and thats it. Keep it simple and YOU will want to do it again. The mega rides are really cool, but TONS of work for the people putting them on. Ask Justin aka madscientist what I am talkin bout-he tries to make his ride a mega ride each year and spends a ton of money and works his azz off hosting the ride and now does not want to do another one. I on the other hand spend 15 minutes organizing my ride and no money and have a blast. My ride will never make RIDE MAGAZINE, but I don't care. My ride is the wrong time of the year to have a huge turnout. (late September).

Gil, were you aware that someone hijacked your screen name and posted a coherent, thoughtful post? You might want to look into this as it may hurt your reputation. ancake:
