So you are saying lee stone had smaller than a 900?

1200 is the limit for Pro, so maybe an 1100? I dunno...

Back to the comment about hitting his head, I saw that. Looked like he might have been bleeding at first.

The negativity is pretty lame. I think it goes back to last year when there was all the controversey and people made judgements about Lee. Or it could be that we're all haters, because 99% of us do not and will not ever have the skill or endurance to perform at that level.

But regardless what place he got according to the judges, he had a helluva ride. It could be... that the moves arn't fluid.... because they have gigantic gawd damn engines and huge pumps. They move quickly, gravity does its job... Its a whole thing.

I don't know if anyone saw it, but there was a guy in the AM freestyle competition who did bulldogs, a log roll, some other old school tricks... AND did a couple backies and a barrel roll.
Was it a better routine than DM? No.... but I thought it was super cool to see someone bringing that back.

Lastly, be careful how much you want to limit this event. These guys are working within the rules, which I believe consists of no more than 1200cc's, and you have two min. Every one of those riders were packing it in... doing as much as they could. More tricks = more points. Listen to the annoucers.

This isn't even the right thread for this discussion... ya'll got me all riled up....

Im sure we all have our preferences as to what is worthy or not. while its amazing that these guys can even hold on to these rediculous skis especially when you are doing nonstop tricks for 2 minutes like some kind of endurance event, I tend to agree that the essence of the tricks is lost. what I mean is I have a hard time really even seeing the complete trick. I like the statement earlier about limiting it to like each riders best trick. kinda reminds of the step up. I would prefer to see 1 huge freakin 18ft backie over 9 in a row. hell put that step up bar out there and do that!

who would have won if it was their 5 best tricks only?

the other two in the top three did two or three tricks, backflip, helicopter and then either a barrel roll or underflip, then repeat

lee had the most variation

if you look at the scoring system which tallies umber of tricks, lee did around 50, roks ski stalled out and he lost agood 20 seconds, which at the rate they were doing tricks was probably around 10

i have watched lee for years and have been impressed with his growth and commitment to the sport

the fact he is now producing a hull is amazing, from what i have heard there has been alot of though go into the hull rather than splashing other hulls that are out there, so maybe the reason it looks different is for a reason

results are results and it is what is it

for me i was entertained by all the riders, some of the "pro" riders should have been in "am" but teh top 10 for sure were pure quality and it just shows as you get closer to the top that there are elite riders.

it wasnt so long ago that we started to see just basic back flips, now we are seeing huge height, no handers, super flips etc, which people are getting bored with

lee took a couple steps further forward in my eyes, he did two tricks no body else even thought about doing, or maybe didnt have the ability to do

which was DMs cos he was coming from AM to which 900 is the limit

and by the way DM was getting better height with that KDX and 900 than some of the others on 1200s......DM did great!
I agree dont nov what was up with DK jr think hee shoud have gone bigger with that 1100 and super light kevlar boat engine/hook up trouble ???

i think it would be pretty cool if they all did something based off a " game of horse like in basketball". get all the riders out there together and match trick for trick. imo, that would be pretty entertaining. just a thought that came to mine....

I kinda like that... with a selection of 4 or 5 tricks with an opening for one new trick or something the rider has innovated. The other rider doesn't have to replicate the 'new trick' but has to do one of their own, or something equivalently difficult.

Very intresting.

*edit* why are we still discussing WF in the Revolver thread? Ya'll got me again.
