im pretty sure if i did the superflip first... then a couple backies afterwards, i would have parked my ski, fist pumped, and checked my pants. lol roks run was great, but i think he had that one. i honestly figured one of the japanese guys would have walked away with atleast 2nd place. i was way wrong

John Cooke invented the scare crow, not Lee. However, Lee was the first to do it on flatwater.

I think Stone should have won.
Lees run was what freestyle should be! He came out hard charging right off the stand! Standing there watching freestyle is like watching 15 mins of BS to see 2 mins of bad a$$. Most guys go out putt around wave flags, fist pumps, di(k touch... Lee came out like a ball of fire, just like the freestyle mx guys do.
As a run, yes he should have won! First was given to the better rider not the better run, IMO the judges had their minds made before his run even happened.

I watched both days runs again and Lee was awesome but still only deserved 2nd in my opinion, Roks was way more fluid and he changed it up more often. Rok lost 7-8 seconds with water injestion where Lee wasted the same pulling out superflip bars and kicking in more often, plus Lee's saturday run wasnt anything like his final, I felt like after he saw Rok's saturday run he realized he had alot of work to do! Not just Lee, it looked to me like the rest of the field went "Daaaaym did you see Rok?" and rode thier finals waaay harder because of it, helping make sundays finals awesome!

Truly amazing performances. These guys are skilled and their boats are ridiculously awesome, with that said, I would still like to see these same guys in a freestyle competition using a modded 701 Superjet. Their skill will shine then. And since they couldn't do 9, eh, eh, 9, BFs, the creative other tricks will come through. IE; Lloyd Burlew, Scott Watkins, Rick Roy.

I have become a bit bored with these performances also. These boats and the tricks they yield are a pipe dreams for most of us. I think I get more excited about seeing the old school stuff cuz in my mind I can conceive me actually pulling them off, and sometimes do. Today, I'm like, okay this guy is 150 lbs, 5'4", 22 yr old can repeatedly flip a $20-30,000 resemblance of what a jetski was. Hmmm, just sayin.

This post brought to you by the period key.

Kidding of course. Glad to hear some feedback from someone who was able to try out some of the skis at WF. Pretty cool to be able to ride compitition level skis... I'm jelly.

I hear ya... I typically turn off porn when the girl is too good looking and doing things my girlfriend would never let me do to her.

Isn't the point of any sport extreme or otherwise to push the sport beyond the ability of the average person. What would be the point of having a world finals and limiting people to tricks that have been mastered years ago. Freestyle competition in any power sport is used to push the sport further and show people what can be done. As posted earlier in this thread competition and WOW factor are crucial in bringing new people into this sport and growing it.

Very constructive advice here. Now Lee knows what to do to be as good as the rest of the X members. He can also learn how to build a competitive hull and further the sport from this thread. Once again, well done.
