Kind of in a holding pattern waiting to get more materials to finish the tray and get the exhaust tube bent. Decided to use some left over poly glass and filler to make a mold of a coupler cover so I can try making one out of carbon.

I used the same process as I did with the ride plate, but I wasnt sure if I wanted to try keeping the bushing holder. I ended up incorporating it and filled in the ears so the final piece is at the right height. May have to ditch the bushing holder later, I know it will be tough to get the matetial to lay in the tight corners.

I confirmed my suspicion of the tight radii giving me problems. Im thinking for hand layups a 1/4" minimum radius is required. I removed the stand off for the bushing and put in the largest radii that I could. Ill try it again this weekend.

and then..........

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk

Started a new job a few months back and have been really caught up with that, then the snow hit so my focus switched to the sled and Ive been dumping money into that and riding every weekend.

I really need to finish up the tray and paint this thing but Ill probably wait until it warms up. I want a heated garage!

Wow, that is some super clean work!

Thanks!

I want the weather to warm up so I can get back to work on this but at the same time I want it to stay cold so I can continue to enjoy the snow!

Currently working on a track extension and some other things for my sled.

Also picked up a set of 46's a while back to go with the PHP intake and a set of VForce 3's.

Ended up doing some more work to the sled, the last piece to that puzzle now is getting a new bar setup on which probably won't happen until the fall.

BUT I am officially ready to focus back on the ski build now that the snowy season is over! CF motor mounts are here, X-Metal pole is on the way as well as some mandrel bends and silicone couplers for the exhaust and EPP foam sheets for the tray. My goal is to have all of the plumbing in the tray done in 2 weeks so I can get back to glassing.
