Liter motor dreaming...

I am just gonna disassemble my motor and send the cases and the B pipe head to pipe TS I guess?

Bolt on new properly jetted carbs/flame arrestors?

Assemble all parts/new cylinders/rebuilt crankworks OE crank/pistons/head myself.

Keep my electrics.

Do 865's and 1000's call for mod chamber I hope?

How many bores on a 1000?

And I really don't want a mag pump man $$.

for 865 they recomend running with a limited chamber, but it still runs well with a mod chamber

the manifold need to be port matched and the head pipe and manifold bored out

if you speak to pat/chuck they actually recommend stock pump, cant remember pitch of impeller

They reccomend a limited chamber for both, I was very disappointed as I love my Crammit Carbon Mod chamber but luckily I had a limited chamber on my other ski.

ScottS is running his SS846 with a mod chamber, seems to run decent enough.

I think the 1000 has 3 bores as well. No idea on the 1/2 bores.

As long as you stay under 865 you will be able to get away with the TBM stuffer and a skat 14/19 until you can afford a Mag pump.

In all our talks they have been quite loose on actual pitch needed so don't get rid of it quite yet. They told me a 14/19 many times and then 13/18, 13/17 others.

You have a lightweight envy don't you?

Yea lightweight Envy.

And I would love to know about half bores on the 1000...and when for both 865 and 1000?

Good news on the mod chamber and maybe the prop and pump working.

Thanks for the info everyone.

So they get my whole pipe really then (stinger mod?), cases, and thats it?

And they go with new OE 46's?

They are now offering the new Full Spectrum 46's as well. They are $260 more a set than OEM's though but are supposed to have much better bottom. They just got two sets in to play with when I was finallizing my engine package but they still hadn't tested them out yet so I stayed with the standard 46's...plus I think they sip a little more fuel than the standards as well.

Oh brother....how much are boysen set ups?

$599 from TS but call John at JSS for a better price. John priced me better on the carbs and intake but I figured I was better off to get everything under one roof and have it all assembled by Chuckie.

Yea I'm not gonna freak over the tiny savings....I just need to get in all in my head pretty much...

I think I feel ready to call them if I commit.

That's awesome, then the hard part starts...the waiting. LOL I started buying parts for my engine 4 months back and order my hull 3 months back. Engine should be ready to ship this friday and Hul should be ready middle of march now.

I can have my motor stripped down to cases and complete pipe in a box and ready to ship in 1 day I think.

And the crank ready and out to CW in another box and then shipped directly to TS maybe?

If TS had everything else in stock and they say my pump/prop/electrics are cool then 3 months puts me at riding season! Woo Hoo!!
