I think all that is really needed is a flat day with clear bottom conditions and some luck. Who knows how much of it is sticking out of the bottom now that it has been down there so long. But I have faith it can be found with a side scan and a ROV. The good thing about this thing is it feeds back live video and can be controlled to scan the bottom in the area of any hits. And when you find it it is tethered to you so you can mark the site really well. If I can't find what I am looking for in my own search (it's an airplane that has been lost going on 70 years) I have tossed up the idea of getting an underwater Magnometer bur they are crazy expensive and that wont be for years if it even gets to that
