Shroeder valves are just less common for your standard air pump. Make sure you don't leave the adapter at home. For this reason I would use the other valve (whatever its called). So if you are away from home and need to stop by a gas station to inflate.

Anyone have any experience with brush on air duct sealant? Seems to me you could paint the cavity with it before sealing it up.

Sounds like an interseting idea to run a foamless ski and have drain plugs. Im in the process of reinforcing the ski and defoaming. Would this work out better for flatwater rather than surf. And how are the XFT scuppers, thinking about running duals.

The ski is getting a workout this weekend on the Columbia, and next weekend there's one more surf ride.
After next weekend, it's getting torn down. :woot:

What about foam sheeting vacuum bagged and heat sealed in a poly wrap? Make some small mounts inside your hull and slide the sheeting into place. Leave a void on 1 side for water drainage, angle the foam accordingly to allow runoff (it will runoff anyways when you ride).

Dry Foam, Flotation, Drain Plugs, Lightweight. :smoker:

I was going to post an idea almost identical to this  Just wrap the foam in a plastic 'sheet' so It doesnt get wet. :approve:

On to the work stage.

I pulled the motor, waterbox, misc stuff, and pole today.

Pole and hood are going on Ebay tonight.

While out in the surf yesterday, I determined that I most definitively need a shorter pole.

Some pictures of cleaning the garage, and the ski.

I weighed this hull right after refoaming two years ago, without any hardware, front exhaust, and any paint, it weighed in at 120lbs.

I am speechless.

Don't forget paint, hardware, front exhaust, and the tube.
27lbs of water is fair.

Anything but what I have been doing.
Actually, this is one of the main points of this thread.
I'll run drainplugs for sure.
