If I had had any idea that this paint job was going to take me six weekends from start to finish, I would have never started. :crazy:
I am happy with the results, though.

I have almost all my parts needed for assembly now. I got my impeller back from Art, my order from DGY has finally shipped (ordered 2/19). I am still missing a flywheel cover gasket and a bilge pump.
It's maddening that the clear coat has to cure for about a week before I can take it off the rotisserie.

Yes, this weekend was a surprise - I didn't expect to get this much done.
I was in the paintbooth/garage 15 hours Saturday and 12 hours Sunday. :crazy:
I think my wife and my buddy's wife are getting tired of this painting nonsense.

Maybe I'll decide to call 2 coats of clear enough and run with it. It looks very nice, no runs and no dry spots.

After talking to Johnny at Blowsion about it and looking at it closely yesterday, I decided that I'll spray the rest of the clear. Probably this Saturday.
Just another weekend, right?
