Shouldn't the black wire on the stop switch be grounded and the white wire connected to the pink? Connecting them together closes the loop and acts like the switch is always pushed in.

White to pink and black to ground. Still no spark. Calling Summit tomorrow. Thanks for the info GIL. Enjoyed our conversation.

" I think it sparked one time during a test but it may have been my imagination. "

The only way to make sure is stick it on your tongue like a 9 volt battery . Then run a magnet over the pick up . This is the only way to test it and know for sure . If you are bench testing it you WOULD KNOW . Tested one this weekend on a bench and it had a wick bad spark that left nothing to the imagination . It would actually jump about an inch gap to the plate . I'm sure you have looked at all the grounds , fuses , connections and checked continuity etc.

MSD-TL muliti channel use the pink from brain to white lead off the stock Yamaha start/stop switch, Black from start/stop to ground. Red from S/S switch to battery 12v, brown to starter solenoid. Solenoid black to ground, or other wire from solenoid can be the ground.
Purple is the 12v switched from the battery to turn on the MSD
See page 2 for a diagram.

It works now, it's just being a a bitch to set up because I'm used to single channel systems. The brain was definitely the problem before because it worked perfectly today.

If you let me know when you go out, I'll put the gopro camera on my helmet in order to get some video. BTW, I'm off Friday this week too.

You are supposed to boil a msd total loss flywheel for 5 minutes before you install it. It means I'm almost done. Just running fuel lines to the gas tank and running cooling lines and I'm done.
