Other Most frustrating moments with your ski.. Let's hear yours!

Spending the better part of last season and part of this season figuring out how to get my whole package tuned to the PFP... It's definitely not a bolt on HP item at all. Tuning the pipe, getting compression and fuel right, changing carbs, tuning carbs, tuning the pump.. Burning up top ends.

But I will say it's been totally worth it. Lovin the ski now! Plus I learned tons of valuable lessons along the way.

brought 2 sxr800s to pismo for the freeride some years ago. busted the steering cable on one in about 15 minutes, then did a nose stab, hit bottom and grenaded the driveshaft and couplers on the other. i killed both skis in 30 minutes, got in a scrap with the bimbo belly warmer i brought, beat a guy up and drove 5 hours back home, leaving the bimbo there. really the only frustrating part was not being able to ride.

A few years ago I drove 1,100 miles to a Pismo rides and grenaded both SJ's I brought within 30 minutes. Awesome.

That sux! This year at the Oside Crews annual Estero Beach Mexico ride I broke all four motor mounts within the first 30 minutes and was out for the rest of the trip. Estero Beach is only about 150 miles from my house so that wasn't so bad but the wait to get accross the border back into the states was almost 5 hrs! -which for you math genius's works out to 10x my total riding time

Was a little frustrated when my 701 locked up a couple weeks ago, right before the Lake Erie Freeride I pine for every year (this week). Thank God for Jetmaniac, he got me fixed up in time with a new motor!

Thought I broke my wrist out on the water and in a mad panic to load up a get to the hospital I grabbed a handful of throttle getting my boat into the back of my truck only to have it smash out my rear window and the worst part of it my boat just bounced off and back into the water, ended up with some torn ligaments and a nasty sprain but my truck was f'd

Yah... I've got nuthin on a lot of you guys. I'd be extremely bummed to make a freeride, only to break all my stuff right away. That would really suck. I'd much rather bake a couple top ends at my local spots, than to have to miss out on a freeride get together. That's like.. Worse than death.

Most frustrating moment is owning a jet ski period. They suck. They break.

They are only fun until I crack them in half, break parts, or make them not run right anymore! I've got more pictures of broken parts than fun times.

My moment is ongoing. I bought a A/M ski and waited over a month for it to arrive. The day before it came I hurt my back helping my dad cut down some trees, It's going on 2 weeks now and all I have done is admire that sweet a## ski in my garage just sitting on my trailer.

I'd like to think I learn my lesson quick when blowing money on stupid decisions. My first ski was an 87' 300sx. It ran ok at first and I had fun for a while learning to ride but then I blew a couple hundred trying to get it to run right before I discovered a black hole sized air leak along the base gasket and a scorched top end. God that screwed with my mind trying to make that thing run. On top of that I bought it with no title and ended up having to meet a guy on the damn free way to get the paper work to get a sticker. The guy hadn't had the ski in 10 years. Dear lord what a sketchy situation that was.

After that I finally listened to the hundred plus "buy a superjet" posts and sat out most of last season while I saved for my SN that runs like a top. 30+ rides later I'm ripping 3 times a week and having the time of my life riding the waves and chasing the yachts!

Not nearly the financial headache most of you have experienced but I figured I'd throw my story in to the mix.

I shredded a trailer bearing on the trip down to ride my Matrix for the very first time. I got it all patched up and headed down the next weekend and snapped the trailer axle. The eerie part was, both incidences happened on the same stretch of road with 2 miles of each other.

We figured it was time for a new trailer after that. We buy the good tires now as well.
