We've been doing the same things. Rented Smokey and the Bandit the other night and laughed our azzes off.

Been watching the Curse of Oak Island too but so far it's a huge disappointment. They are treating the location like a virgin discovery and getting excited over every little scrap of metal they find.

Been enjoying Appalachian Outlaws though. Good ole boys out diggin some ginseng, shootin tires and burning each others vehicles.

I thought that was pretty good too. Although after that I show I can see 1000's of Hispanic people heading up there and gridding and the hills.

A good one to check out on Netflix is "Kon Tiki"

Escape Plan - I'm neutral on this one. Wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I've had it on in the background for 3 days now.
Ender's Game - Was better than I expected. Clearly written for a younger target audience than myself but was oddly compelling.
Last Vegas - Neutral on this one too. Good concept and a good lineup but I couldn't get into it. Maybe not old enough to "get it" yet.
Riddick - Meh, Good addition to the franchise i guess. It's watchable. The 14 yr old in me enjoyed it.
Runner Runner - Odd topic, wasn't what I was expecting. Never been a Ben Affleck fan. Probably wouldn't watch it again...ever. I am surprised at how much I have been enjoying Justin Timberlake's acting though. I was never a JT music fan but I have to say, I'm liking him as an actor.

The Walking Dead - just keeps getting better although the last episode fell kinda flat for me.

Had some time to waste yesterday, saw About Last Night. Mainly because Kevin Hart is funny as $hit. I wasn't expecting much, but have to admit, I laughed my a$$ off. There are quite a few LOL moments in between the story about men and women trying to coexist. Also saw Ride Along a few weeks ago and while Hart was funny, the movie was kind of boring.

Agreed, Walking Dead is probably my favorite show on tv right now, but the last episode was meh.

On BluRay - gotta love Netflix - I watched The Lone Ranger..... terrible. Kind of surprised seeing that Depp was in it. He was good, but the rest of the movie just sucked for me. Also watched Enders Game, thought is was pretty good. Interesting concept.

Caught up on some movies I hadn't seen using HBO GO.

'Now You See Me' was surprisingly good/entertaining. Eisenberg is not a bad actor imo. Hopefully get gets deeper rolls as he gets older. Him & Woody seem to work good together ala Zombieland.

'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone'. Jim Carrey is F'n hilarious in this. A stupid funny movie but I like those as I don't find the need to walk away from a flick with a new perspective or learned something.

Got to see the Oscar nominees in the upcoming weeks. More so 'Dallas Buyers Club' & 'American Hustle'.

American Hustle was an hour too long.

I liked Captain Philips. Saw the documentary about that story on Netflix so I wasn't really in the mood to see Hollywood ruin it. It was a surprisingly entertaining film. Then again Tom Hanks never disappoints.

I thought American Hustle was just OK. I was kind of let down after hearing how all the critics LOVED it, like it was a fantastic movie. Then again, that is probably my stupidity for paying attention to critics. I swear, I think some of them are complete retards who simply like to hear themselves try to sound high brow.

I recently saw "All is Lost". An absolutely gripping tale of survival at sea. I've seen many of the movies mentioned above, but this one tops the list of movies I've seen in the last few months. Highly recommended.

Watched Riddick on Wednesday night. Not too bad. If you liked Pitch Black and COR, you should like this one. It's your typical Vin Diesel in space flick.

A week before, I saw Runner Runner and felt it was slow and somewhat boring. It wasn't the actors' fault, just a good premise with a bad script and director.

I'm saving Rush, Ender's Game and Captain Philips for "ready to do a serious movie night" nights.

Rush was good and I really liked seeing the old terrell 6 wheel cars in there. Runner runner was pretty good too not what I expected. Jobs wasnt very good and I got really sick while we were watching it so I gave up on finishing it. Spoiler alert I knew he died in the end already. Lol

Gotta love those Gladiator movies, Spartucus (Starz ch.), Gladiator, and 300 (graphic style is over the top), 8 years later, the soon-to -be- released 300: Rise of an Empire.
