My first AM build. Rickter XFR - Full Carbon

Just did the final install of the handlepole. For anyone who is having issues getting the pole to fit in the bracket with the bushings and plan on not running a spring, I found a really good way to install it. If you remove the bracket from the hull you can actually remove, or just loosen, the ears that the pole mounts in between, each has 2 countersunk screws that can only be accessed when the bracket is removed. Simply loosen those ears then slide the bracket onto your pole and then tighten the ears back down. Then install the whole assembly onto the hull. I forgot to take pictures of all that but figured I would share anyways.

Unfortunately my handlepole only came with the carbon tubes and I don't need to cut those down right now. I was expecting to get the aluminum tubes as well but idk what happened. I might try and push the matter with Taylor or I can just borrow some aluminum tube from work.
I think I still have that section of tubing. Will look.

This is what I was saying, loosen all the bolts so the ears flop around. Sorry should of mentioned yours may still use counter sinks.
Not all are, some replace those with cap screws and the hull is drilled and the bracket is thru bolted...

Speaking of thru bolting, if you add a spring and spring tension block later... the block comes with more counter sinks screws. You can thru drill the hull from the top and thru bolt the tension block in so poll bracket doesn’t have to come off..

That's good to know, I will deffinately keep that in mind for later.

Now as far as the breather tubes go, they are only meant to be inserted up to where they but up with the end of the tubes in the handle pole, right? They aren't meant to go inside the tubes? Cause I dont see how I could get them in those tubes.

Yes just butt them up

Annoying development, it looks like I won't be able to fit my e-box in the stock location with the B-Pipe. Even with both RRP spacers in, the back of the loop is basically touching the e-box.

You have to offset it. Get some conical washers.

I have some. But I wasnt planning on drilling thru the hull to mount the e-box, especially if it has to be off center. The lack of symmetry would drive me crazy. Lol

I was planning on using these to mount the e-box along with some vibration dampening studs. 20200628_120814.jpg

You have the 3 bosses on back of ebox? You can tap them then thru bolt using conical washers and bolts. Those will work as long as you get bonded really well.

Love the natural carbon, can't understand why people go for that goofy checkerboard textreme sh*t.:p

Thanks bud! That was actually a super hard choice for me. Ultimately it came down to which one was stronger and thats the normal carbon. Not gna lie though, I was regretting not going Textreme for like the last four months of waiting, but once I saw her I immediately stopped caring. o_O I think I was just getting impatient.

The only thing that bugs me a little is that the Orange is darker than what I was expecting. I literally specified the exact shade of neon orange they used on a previous custom hull so you would think they could get it right. Dont get me wrong, it still looks awesome but that is deffinately not NEON orange. Lol Its too bad RRP makes no effort to make sure the shades they chose on $500 custom graphics are actually what the customer wants.

Does anyone know where/how I could get a shorter trim cable for my Thrust EZFlow pro? The one I have is way too long, it has to make like a giant S in the hull just to fit.

That's unfortunate with the color, after all, you shouldn't have to fly to Bangkok to get it done right o_O however, if your like most people, you will probably be ordering a new hull in a couple years, and if you decide to order another rrp, bring it to their attention and maybe a discount will be in order.;)
