the one that is bolted together, and is square, is the one i got from dan yesterday, the one that is mounted to my pole is the one i got from goose last year.

Thanks, I was a bit confused.

Wow. Come to think of it, I still am.

In all seriousness - if it were me, I'd use Goose's bracket.

well no, dan said he was going to make me one of his new composite brackets, well back when i bought the hull, but a couple weeks ago i asked when that would be done and he said he didn't know and he had another aluminum one that he would send me and i told him send me whatever he thought would work best and this is what i got. so hopefully ill still get one of the new composite brackets but im not sure yet. ill have to email him and see before i cut the holes in this hull.

i hope when you cut holes in your hull you use a better tool than he did to drill the centre hole in the bracket....you could probably chew through it with your own teeth and it would look neater

shocked that someone would make (loose phrase) or send something like that, wether free or not

i like seeing how these builds are going, but also feel for you guys, even though these hulls are alot lower (in theory) in price, the extra time and work you are all having to put into them is insane

looking forward to seeing your completed build... but dont cheap out on areas that matter

That is absolutely rediculous....Definately use the goose bracket, maybe buy a larger aluminum plate drill the same holes as the goose bracket, and if you are undermounting the bracket make some holes for the "tabs" to protrude though...that way at least you are distributing the load over a larger area.

That highroller bracket is not only a complete joke, but the base plate is so small, it would rip though the hull in no time....if the bolts didnt loosen first

I dont know how confindent I would be in this "new composite bracket" after seeing that aluminum one...

I'll be totally honest. A composite mount can work if done properly but typically it's not a good idea. Not only does composite handle loads differently than metal but I've got a stainless bracket that has scoring marks on it. If you can score up a stainless mount, that composite mount is going to be filed down in no time.

Looks like the chin pad is about 3-4 inches too short.

Either way, looks really good. Make sure you put a pad under the pole though or you're going to bust that hull up...
