Hood came in today. It and the liner frame will need some trimming and some breather holes. I know Dan usually attaches tubes to the holes and leaves it open but is seems easier to lay some fiberglass across the open area to close the hood liner and put some breather tubes down like normal.

Rideplate came in too. It seems fine to me. I like that he left it untrimmed so it can be slowly cut back to tune how the ski rides.

I see our boy hasn't bought a decent cutting tool with all the hulls he's been selling. The cut lines are still just as precise as always...Both on the hood and rideplate.

Fiberglassed the tray and the footholds with 1208. Should be sturdy now fo sho!

Rideplate was trimmed and installed and the inserts epoxied in. You can see how much rideplate there is to play with.

The hood liner install started by trimming it and putting some 5200 on a couple spots to get it where it needs to be. I'm going to fiberglass it in and put some fiberglass in to turn it into a true hood liner.

There you go with your clothes pins again... That's a lot of biax but the footholds look good.

My hood had that same little blemish in the middle as well. I have a pretty good reason why it's there but not sure what caused it.

Got my highroller composite stunt bracket yesterday. Solid as a rock and matches the contours of the stunt hull, but I've got to drill the pole bolt holes myself. Not thrilled about that.

LMFAO! Highroller- Proving that anything worth doing, is worth doing halfway. That's nearly all fiberglass, and not even straight or symetric.

I have sold this hull to ncbrock. It will be assembled and ready to ride and as solid as I can make it. He is not using the composite bracket so if anyone has a x-metal or other slim bracket that he can buy on the cheap pm him. I will continue to post pics of the assembly. I just don't have it in me to keep working on this hull any further than getting it assembled. I have not had any free time for myself since this build began. Please don't clutter up this thread with questions about what I am going to do next. This thread is not about me but is for ncbrock to see his hull being assembled and for anyone to post concerns if they think I should be doing something differently while assembling it. I want this hull to be strong and start him on the road to backflips, barrel rolls, and sponsors. The Gulf Tribute Ski is born!

Pabloescobar and Waternut came over and we assembled the hull yesterday. You guys are awesome for helping a brotha out!:headbang:

We used pliogrip for the front and the tray/pump area and slow cure 5200 for the rest with lots of rivets. The back corners would not match up no matter what we did. Here are pictures of what it looked like after they left.

Here it is after I filled the corner spaces with fiberglass and epoxy and cabosil and then fiberglassed over it with 8 oz fiberglass tape. I ground everything smooth on the tray and ground all the extra glue off the nose.

Waternut and pabloescobar came by on their skis while I was getting the hood ready for the hood liner and it's a good thing they did. I now know why the stunt hulls don't have a hood liner: there is no room! Look at the flame arrestor and pipe sticking up out of the top of Waternut's stunt. We all looked at it and decided that Waternut's use of the breather tubes on his hood is the only way it will work.

I also rode Waternut's stunt and it will LEAP out of the water. It took some getting used to since it is so much shorter than a superjet and he has a stock length pole and steering setup, but I was able get a good feel for it after a few minutes.
