also, i wouldnt recommend turning the engine all the way one direction then hitting the starter to let it spool up 7/8 of a turn then lock up again. thats a good way to bust a hole through the crank case if your rod is f'ed up.

ok got my pump and nossle off.. i dident "see" anyhitn unusual, but dont really know what i'm looking for there... i can still spin the prop w/o the shaft spinning?

i tryed agen with the starter and nothign has changed with the pump out:17:
i'll get some pic of teh pump.. in a few mins

so now what?:banghead: :cussing:

worst case, you have massive internal carbage.

best case, your bendix has fragmented inside the front cover.

get a 10mm socket and remove your flywheel cover.

it only takes a couple of minutes, and you can go from there.

wait though, that all assumes you still have the plugs out, and the pump is now removed and you STILL cant rotate the engine by hand.

massive internal whatage?

pluges are still out, pump is removed, look at pics... and i can not rotate it by hand all the way around..

i'll take the flywheel off next...

is there just teh 7 10mm bolts holding the flywheel on? got them all off and thi thing is stuck? is there something ealts? i wanna yank on it but i'm afrade i'm going th break something


Mate to be honest i think its time to take it to a shop
See if you can watch what the mechanic is doing

The flywheel is held on by a 15 (17?) mm bolt. The flywheel cover is held on by six or so 10mm bolts.
What did you take off?

Since you are pretty much clueless about skis, do yourself a favor & buy a Yamaha Service Manual. Then when someone is trying to give you advice, at least you might have a idea of what they are talking about.

ok removed the cover and the flywheel looked good.. teh bendix appeared good, however it was sitting in there somewhat wobbley.. is it suposted to be loose? the flywhee itself is on tight.

and i have a manual on the CD.. and yes i haev checked it quite a few times b4 i go wrenching.. b/c i haev never taken this thing apart... but i'm not worried about getting it back together... just WTF is wrong and how much is it gonna cost meh...

anyone know WTF is up with my prop? i'll get a viideo
