what you need is a $12 crowsfoot puller from any auto parts store.

im not sure you need to remove the flywheel though?

if you push the bendix where it isnt touching the flywheel, can you STILL not turn the engine over?

if you cant, I am going to say, that you might as well, pull the engine, and tear it down.

youve got some major hangage in there.

the carboge or whatever i spoke of earlier..

carnage, grenadage, fragmentation, broke Azz shiat basically.

heres my theory....

if the cause of the seizure is a stuck bendix, he would at least see it 'trying' to move when he turned the coupler left and right.

the bendix is in that position because the starter pushed it against a seized engine. the engine wont spin to let it retract. ill bet if he removes the starter or turns the 'base' of the bendix, it would retract. normally bendix's retract because the engine starts spinning faster than the starter is spinning the bendix.

one more thought.... if the bendix is stuck out like that, itd still turned the engine over as long as the engine isnt seized. it would turn as a solid unit.

lame man's terms.... grif... i does believes yo engines be's seized1

pull the engine at this point.

it will be easier on you in the long run.

zip lock baggies, a sharpie to label them, and a camera to take photos of everything BEFORE you take it apart.

you can have it completely torn down in an hour.

pull just the head if you want to first, its easy.

the 11 or 12, bolts on top.. they are metric, ummm, 12, or 14mm.... 12m I think.

maybe that will show us whats up?

to be honest, it doesnt sound good dude, sorry.

oh yeah, you need to go ahead and scrape all the turf off, and drill some holes near the exhuast to make this easier.

the handle pole shoudl probably come off next too.

that damn thing always hits me in the head while im wrenching.
