Well if you were reading it, then you would know HOW to take things apart too, instead of asking what size wrench to use, etc. Here again, peeps are trying to help you, but you still don't grasp what they are trying to tell you. You say you don't want to have to spend a lot of money to fix something, but the more you tear apart, the more it's going to end up costing you. Get with someone who knows what they are doing to help you out. You've been given that advice by numerous peeps on numerous threads...if you don't listen to anything else that you're told, listen to that.and i have a manual on the CD.. and yes i haev checked it quite a few times b4 i go wrenching.. b/c i haev never taken this thing apart... but i'm not worried about getting it back together... just WTF is wrong and how much is it gonna cost meh...

damn i can move the bendix about 2-3cm back in forth, but not far enough back to dissengage the teah from the flywheel.. even tryed hitting it with a hammer....:biggrin:Okay....that bendix is engaged.
It shouldn't be.
Push that bendix back in its bushing in the case. Then see if you can spin it.

Your prop is a separate issue. Get the engine to turn first.
Then we'll work on getting the prop stopping to turn.

haha this is a great thread, its almost like you guys don't have anything wrong with your own ski and your getting the newbie to do some wrenchin. ha ha this is great keep it up G-nasty, keep asking questions and these guys will get you through it. seeing that bendix engaged may be good but that video is like a bad flashback of a thrown rod i had. G-nasty if they tell ya to take off the handle pole next there B.S.ing ya.
sweetie....re-read several of my posts.....GET WITH SOMEONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT SKIS TO HELP YOU OUT.....that's not necessarily a shop....it's great that you're trying to learn. Everybody has been there. But sometimes you need to admit you need someone to personally show you about wrenching. Everybody is just trying to keep you from making avoidable mistakes.Moondance, if i take iot to the shop everytime i'll never learn.. costing me more money in the long run... they charge $80 an hr.. so far that would have cost me.. Hummm over $300 and i still dont know whats wrong with it...
I'm just learing, this is preatty much my 1st teardown.. :woot: and i'm likeing it, even though my fingers are all cut to hell and i smell like ********, and it looks like i have a revirce michael jackson allover my face/hands/shirt/leg's...
I reached back as far as my little fingers would go and i did not find/feel and loose parts. i spent about 5 mins reaching around and looking for any other clues...are there little chucks of bendix lodged in behind the part that is supposed to move back and forth look in the little crack.
oh great??guess whats next G-nasty, you'll need a flywheel puller and something orange, round and orange.
It's a harmonic balancer puller. Not all work. I buy mine at Schuck's.
Good luck.
I called you sweetie....and btw...I'm a girl, not gay.PS: MoonDance.... what did you call me?

All I'm trying to tell you is that it is easy to be blinded by your frustration. All of us have been there. Sometimes it takes a second set of eyes to find the problems.
