Freestyle new rrp carbon pipe

I finally got to test out the carbon pipe this weekend. In 2 almost identical blasters with TPE 964's. The Rickter pipe made night and day power increases over the C4 chamber setup. It also was a huge weight savings which is needed in a bllaster. Im currently smoking right through a 15/20 prop in the 144 solas mag section. Im going to upgrade to a 148 anyways but with my setup my guess would be a 16/21 or 17/21 is where it needs to be. Below is my setup.

Rockered B1 350lbs
TPE 964
Rickter Ninja pipe
Msd enhancer w/ Alum Flywheel
Novi 48's w/ PHP intake
144 solas mag 15/20 prop

I can second Todd's review. I took this ski out, prior to the pipe upgrade it was pretty much hitting just like mine.

I pushed this thing off the beach, pulled the throttle one time and I am now working towards emptying my wallet ASAP to get one of these pipes in my ski. Nasty power upgrade!! Still in shock as to how thing works!

Kevin told me he called and checked today and there's going to be 3 available to him in March. But the way it sounds, it's more than likely going to be a pre pay item. Any shop can call up and pre pay all 3 at any given time. I had the same issue getting my PFP.

This further proves how much tech there is left to develop with good larger pipe design. alot power left on the table out there with pipes concerned. With surf riders using this pipe off the beach ,some kind of multi stage filter or using something diff than a carb jet to control water flow through it will be mandatory. I didnt see this pipe in any of the surf rickters team riders last yr tona or world finals, even though they were avail to them. Did anyone notice if any of them were using them this yr at tona?

kinda comical how the theory changes here on the x,last yr,no kinda carbon pipe would work as good with sound waves and pressure not reflecting off carbon well.lol

I'm not sure how many were in the Rickters this year at Daytona, but Taylor has been running one for a year. As I remember they have been testing for a year plus maybe, before releasing them, making adjustments etc… You're right on filtration and jetting them though. They do come with jets and a filter. From what I hear, from guys that have run them, compared to a PFP, they are noticeably stronger on the bottom. Not sure if the PFP is stronger on the top though. I think it's nice to have another pipe available for tuning and power band options though. I'm sure as time goes on, we'll all hear more about them on different engine / pump set ups.

Mine won't be installed for a week or three now lol. If anybody wants specific pics of the kit, let me know and I'll try and post them up.

Mostly bottom end gains from the water injection from what I've heard, and the weight savings of no jacket/water. The rrp guys were always big fans of water injection, even with the pfp. They made their own with bling and weight savings to hit where they want it.

To be fair, I haven't tested one yet. Everyone I spoke with said huge gains on bottom. Not all engines will need that.

with the 964 and a rockered hull will the rickter pipe fit in my b1 with the stock tank or am i going to have to have a custom tank made?? i currently have a rockered and chopped hull with rear waterbox compliments of Carter B.
