Good catch Borracho. I just switched mine to trim it up when I installed my stubby pump cone, I can't wait to see what kind of difference the aquavein intake grate, D cut ride plate, stubby cone, flipped trim plate and the 9/17 big hub impeller will feel like from a totally stock setup. Build is looking great also, any new progress to report?

I have tried the R&D Aquavein, R&D top loader, Worx, and Skat Trak-- the Skat is unquestionably the best and the Aquavein was probably the worst-- it had the greatest tendency to come unhooked in the corners. But maybe your riding style won't expose its weakness...

OK time to blow the dust off this thread. With all the distractions of work & school combined with a new ski purchase the stand up has been on the way back burner.

Short story -

I modded my FZR up to 72+ but didnt like the way it handled so I took all the parts off and traded this:

For this !!

I also filled the remaining underside gouges. Once the body work is done I can concentrate on the reassembly.

Anyone wanna buy a stand up?

OK , I'm back at it . Time to blow the dust off this thread

I have a week off so I started working on the SXi again .

Dropped the carbs off at Jet Medix in Toms River for a rebuild.

Need some advice I tried to paint it myself - and it came out like crap in this humid weather. I took it over to my local body shop for a price to paint the ski, hood and pole. They are saying $500 for all. Is this a good price and worth it ??

Also should I install a bilge kit for recreational riding?

Thank you Brian

This switch here works great with a Bilge Pump.

"I foamed/fiberglass reinforced the hull at its known weak points" - Where is the SXi Pro weak at so i can fix mine before i break it!? It's going to be a buoy ski with limited/small jumping so would a reinforcement be worth it? Or is yours a wave ski?

Brick - what gelcoat filler did you use for your body work? And cloth / resin / foam too?

No more spray can paint job -

Dropped at the body shop today - kicking myself for wasting my time with spray cans and near 100% humidity

Before - I repacked all the trailer bearings and replaced the grease caps. Also picked up a winch line to replace the clothes line rope / rusty hook.

Redid all the cooling lines tonight. Used some pinch clamps and my $160 Riva Thermostat pliers

I de-greased / re-greased the steering bushings and installed a new set of Odi ruffians

DSC00313.jpg

Installed the bars and newly recovered chin pad

DSC00316.jpg

Ran the steering cable, throttle cable, Bilge switch and recovered the start/stop wiring

DSC00317.jpg

Attached the throttle lever which I think will be going in favor of a billet finger throttle lever. Just waiting on the lower pad from the upholstery shop.... oh and the hull ;)
