I don't see the programing input as an issue. I feel the input is there for a point of view as in measuring deto and winding the timing back not a programing port that you cant actually adjust while the engine is running and its also awful hard to balance the laptop on the back straight. The msd has a 12v input, I would consider that definitely as an input. I have always thought the msd is against he rules in this situation but I think its time to clarify/redo the wording the rules, As in no extra sensors which can effect the tune.Hopefully this will get approved for IJSBA lites racing. Technically it is not legal with the programming input. I know the MSD has a positive red wire that isn’t on the OEM cdi but that’s not considered an input/output by IJSBA.
