Mariners can be a real bust if it gets to low I should be on the water by next month. just post up or PM about a month before so we can tell you about where its going to be july 14-19. It drops about a foot a day in the middle of summer but the next month and a half from now its getting run off still

Ok sounds good, just a correction on your post...it's a July 15-19, Mo-Fr. I got some family up there, so I'll have them check it periodicaly also. I'm pretty stuck on Shasta no matter what the level, I figured we will pull the skis out of the water every night anyways, so if it's 100 yards from the rim no biggie. Either way, we will see as it gets closer. Super excited!!!! We do it every year, and it's just the best!

IMG_4290.jpgWell, Sparkplug was right!! Mariners is gone...:( This picture is taken a few days ego from about a halfway point between campground and the water...wow. So, we are stuck with drive up campgrounds only. I should know tomorrow if they are going to open Gregory Creek beach campground...they are checking drinking water clearity. If that's a bust then there is two campsites open at Ellery Creek for drive up. I will try to post again, if there is something in stone. Either way, I'm going....there is always Salt Creek or Gregory beach.

SO, we took off a day early due to friends having the weekend off. Got there, checked out Ellery Creek and no go. Went Hirtz Bay and just too far from water. Then on to Salt Creek....could not put the trailer into the campground, tents only.....soooooo off to Gregory Creek. Creek was closed, but the beach camping was ok. We set up on the beach, could not find our friends. And then from there it was bunch of unfortunate events......Blown head gasket on the SX, sucked up a rope from the construction bouye into the couch, some dead batteries and leaking gas lines, loose extuinguisher, broken toe (not me), no shade and lots of heat....warm beer. Positive side was, I caught a huge catfish, got to ride my ROK a few times and made it home today (Wed). So being said, Sorry for not posting up where I was but I turn off my phone during camping and it wouldn't matter, it's a dumb phone anyways. Lessons learned....only go when the water level is high, camp only in the trees....blah, blah, blah. Maybe next year gentlemen. Sorry, we did'nt get to ride.

Yeah, we were all pretty much done after three days, could not hang a another one. Realy sorry guys, it was a fail. Love the lake though, it would be wonderful to go anytime, just for the day. Maybe some day, just need to find a job up there.
