Superfreaks probably have 1/2 inch waterlines and he runs 3/8 so instead of dealing with 1/2 to 3/8 fittings for each line, the block makes it clean ,easy to run and probably the same price.

1/4" NPT. You can run 1/2 id barb fittings or 3/8

I wonder if the 1/4 npt-1/2 barb offers more flow as to the 3/8 barb or if they are both are both at the mecy of the 1/4npt thread i.d.

I'm curious if your getting increased flow to the manifold to support the 3 3/8 outlets. I to like to run the pipe separate from the engine and am usually limited to just the 2 3/8in bulk head fittings. So the engine usually gets one. I've never had a problem with undercooling the engine with just one (usually have to restrict at pisser to keep temps up, even in florida)but Id still like to have dual in and dual out. My next engine will most likely need the added volume with the increase in displacement.

Apologies for jacking your build thread.

As for getting hoses on fitting that are tight, I use a little head from my pencil torch. If you point in into the hose, it will not discolor the outside. Once it's on and cools, it ain't coming off but I normally use oetiker clamps anyways.

At the pump it has true 1/2" barb fittings. At the water manifold the fittings McMaster sent are 1/4 NPT as well but they are reduced. Don't think it going to mess anything up.

ended up with this. Damn this was a royal pain in the ass. Pipe is in. Need to finish plumbing out the passers. Drop tank in and install carbs and battery.
