you know im actually not sure. because it doesnt feel like aluminium cause of the weight. but they dont normally cast stainless steel, but i could be wrong. it could be cast iron but my understanding that rusts. its not steel because a magnet doesnt stick to it. i havent had to touch the pump other than the pro tec trim system. does anyone out there know what its made out of?

Its seems to heavy to be cast aluminium. Cast iron I know its not because it would rust like crazy. They do make a cast stainless, so it might be that. It could be also some other odd ball alloy. I think I will try to weld it as a stainless alloy and see how it welds.

haha well you should know if it will weld as soon as you try laying a bead. if it doesnt weld correct you can just sand it off. post some pictures of how it welds and how you make his trim.

its the 25mm. plush under matting from Blowsion. its about 1 1/4" thick. im going to line the inside of the footwells with 5mm plush under matting.

Here's the update..

Finished fillling and sanding



Got the paintbooth together and rinsed down. Ready to go. Positive pressure with 2 filter on the inlet/exhaust.




Primer tomorrow! For color I'm going with a pearl white base, then a cinnamon color as the pattern color. Seperation line will be light silver.

Should turn out nice!!!!
