Plowing it on can work if there's no metallic . Dam the more I check out that color the more I like it. Is it ok if I do a version of it on my ski Gregg ?

Sano,,
I hope it all comes together. I'm looking forward to running that Xmetal pole. All I've ever had was a stocker. Bring the Highroller down for some riding. I wanna ride it back to back with Waternuts and see how different setups have changed it. John's ski wants to get out of the water.
Nice ski, man! Diff worth the wait!!!

John,

I was gonna spare you a post on that!!! All of John's painting has been flawless up to this one point. We were painting late last night and just hit it heavy with a malfunctioning gun. No worries though. I got some wetsand paper today. Gonna rub it out with some 220/320/400 and reshoot this afternoon. Got soccer with the kids til 1:45 and I'll jump on it after that. Hope to get final coats on tonight and dry for tomorrow's build. Most likely will be Tuesday before finished. Got a lot of turfing to go with the install of everything else. Wife's gonna hate me for a few days.

...and this evenings royal F-up!

thanks Tem. once again, you're the man.

Looking great ! John your doing awesome job on the paint, the bottom and other stuff looks perfect , if you think your going to get a run stop , painting can be a pain if the gun isn't close to perfect as far as the air and paint orifices, I have learned that lesson more that I care to admit . On a cheap gun I use a gas torch tip cleaner in a pinch . Gregg I'm sending more decals out today.

The color is all yours. I bought a gallon from TPC global that's enough to paint 4 skis.

Perhaps should have pounded more paint on when it started to run, I have seen that trick work in person, sheets the runs right off.

That's actually why it's as bad as it is. I got a little run that I couldn't live with. I put on another coat after about 10 minutes hoping to just cover it up...didn't work though. lol 1 out of 5 times it'll work but that's 1 time you don't have to redo it so it's worth a shot. I think the hardest part of spraying for me is finding places to stop without overlapping. I can go from the back to the nose but even then I'll end up with a couple spots that get hit twice and those are the problem areas with the final heavy wet coat.

This stuff can't be wetsanded and polished up which is unfortunate.

Here are a couple pictures after the final coat. The first two were taken without flash and show the glossy reflections. The third was taken with the flash to show how the paint glows in the sun.

Nice Jonh , I know keeping a wet edge is tuff, use a slow reducer, I've painted a lot of big boats and keeping overspay to a min can be a challenge.

You guys look like you got it together on the paint.Yea,what sportfish said "Hope your inside somewhere!"

The Stunt has been sidelined for a while.Got another project l'm working on.....more to follow.

l really didn't want to get rid of the pole,l'm glad it has a new home with you! But it wasn't going to work with my stunt. The standard length AC pole is just right.

Y'all should have that ski ready this week!

Get Busy................

:You_Rock_Emoticon:

I was planning on knocking out the majority of the build/install yesterday evening, but you know how life has a way of jumping up to grab you. Wife/kids/life all require time. My ski's lose that battle. Got GP 800 motor mounts in with KK's. Lined up pump and midshaft and installed steering cable. Trying to get there by the weekend. gonna put my 760 flat top...Dasa porting/Epic ignition/bpipe/blueprinted pump w/hooker.
man that thing isnt done yet??? lol hows tha build going and what kind of power you putting in that thing?

Inside and dry. Hope it's nice this weekend. Trying to get busy
