Pfp superjet problem

I stand corrected I didnt realize there was that much difference in sj hulls over the years. I will say this, if the face of the manifold and the chamber do not mate perfectly you will melt the o rings and the coupler will split. I had a slight misalignment and it lasted 5-6 hrs before splitting the coupler. Its worth spending the time on getting it perfect.

Exact, there are two solutions: modification of the hull or modification of the coupling.
I try what I can do...
Thank you all..

Does anybody read any of the post before responding???????????

1. Yes, you can machine the manifold. Someone mentioned they machined it at 15 degrees to move the chamber away from the hull.
2. The Hulls are the same. The pipes are what is different.
3. If there is a gap, you will burn a hole in the coupler.
4. A block of wood and a hammer can give you clearance. This has been done for years on BPipe Chambers, Type 4 Chambers and Type 9 Chambers for clearance.
5. I am guilty as hell of not reading previous post and responding..............

I'd call Powerfactor, ask them if their pipe will fit into your hull without any sort of modifications. If they say yes, politely ask them the ship you one that fits.

It's probably safe to assume these are stamped and welded by FPP so not really "handmade" I wouldn't think there is a lot of variance between chambers. I would be grinding my hull long before denting the chamber, denting a $250 B pipe chamber for a $600 RN hull is one thing, I am going to guess you can't touch a PFP chamber for less than a hull. I would try what Breese said first and move the end up, the hull is widest at the bondline, the closer you can get it to that, the more room it will have.

Could the exhaust flange on that billet cylinder be a bit further from engine center than some of the other guys who are posting here?

thanks, xscream says that mounts on sj 99 '. Now I sent photos. I await response.
