I can say, There is already a "TOTALLY" new hull, and design in the works, new larger motor, bigger jet pump etc. These guys are constantly changing, and "evolving". It is good stuff.

I am glad they are evolving and trying something new. This sport needs it but they could use some help on the sales end...

I am curious to see what the new design looks like.

Maybe just convert/mod the new seadoo cheap ski?? Like Roush or Callaway does with cars? Make it portable. LOL. I could barely type that without cracking up....but...I am being serious.

Newest video. Looks a-lot better then the first. Also show the guy riding standing up.
Am I the only one that caught on to this? 100mil in 4 years.. even if they were a clean profit of 4000 each they'd have to sell 6200 units/year to hit that goal.. he also included that it can be a hassle to get a normal jetski in and out of the water... I bet it's more of a hassle to pull the parts out of your trunk, assemble the thing and put it in the water.. then reverse the process after riding... big city folk in apparents can have it.. I'm out...

The concept is there, but that concept has been addressed already (3d) and how many times do you have to hit a nail on the head before you realize it won't go any further? Poor name choice for sure.. I hope he hits it big, after all someone at some point said internet explorer and facebook would fail too.. but honestly, I'm still trying to figure out how they have a sale price set if they haven't even gotten a final product yet.. shouldn't you have the manufacturing cost figured before you set a sale price? Kind of hard to do this if you're not sure what you're actually going to build... hats off for trying, I wish them the best...

looks like it was based off one of these:

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought it looked like it was based of a VXR

I think there is a market for what they are going after and I think they will sell plenty if they come up with something that looks good. Glad to hear they are evolving and have a new hull in mind. Can you speak to what it may look like? strictly stand up, strictly sit down, still an attempt at both, etc? As of their current design, I would be surprised to see a single one sell.

Agreed, not that I am part of that particular market, but for goodness sake hire a design firm.

I cannot say much, but the new hull will be a fixed steer. you can stand / sit, like a blaster or X2

Have they considered the mussel inspections many of us face every time we hit the lake? "Hold on sir, let me pull all these parts out of my trunk, along with this 80 lb power train so you can inspect them." Then throw it all back in your trunk. Then park the car and walk all these parts to the water. Screw that. How is it easier than using a trailer? I don't even bring an awning or cooler to the lake because I don't want to haul it down to the beach from the parking lot. The only convenient way will be with a beach cart and my trailer cost me less than a beach cart.

Read this comment on the Gizmodo link: Several good points made:

"It looks fun(as long as i don't need to make stupid hand gestures while riding it), but putting something in my car that smells like exhaust and could possibly leak fuel doesn't sound like fun. I'm also curious how long the engine stays hot and how long I would have to wait before I could put it in my car and it not start something on fire."

Also in the vid they show the dude transporting it down to the water on a beach cart...does that fold up and disable and fit into the car as well?

Anybody else see the lanyard going from his wrist downward?

This is a great way to get around the mussel inspection! No one is going to expect a boat in your trunk. =)

I dont get it, this market was here and passed decades ago.. and they fit compact car with only the addition of a hitch hauler. "Modularity" seems only a nuisance and another point of failure. The only modularity they should be considering is large removable tubbies for beginner riders and can be removed for experienced riders.

I looked at this when first posted but haven't stayed with it.... (i.e. reread entire thread)

Does it say what kind of motor is kicking in there?
Is the drivetrain modular or is just the surroundings?

IMO the idea is great, just the design needs to be rethought. (3d clone)

A modular SJ clone (2 piece even) would be the tits-ass.

Either way congrats on trying something new.
