This is a bull:):):):) response!!! He bought the hull and posted an honest review, he's not asking for more money, just letting others know what issue's he's had with a builder. I wish more guys like him would post there honest review.

I wish I had posted some more up front reviews, but it always just turns into a pissing match

He's asking for it to be made right and to get the parts he paid for, no issues with that at all. I would not be happy with what I have seen here either. But my first course of action would not be to go to the X to try to get resolution, my first action would be to contact the company/individual direct and see what happens.....then come to the x and post an honest review. This whole situation could be handled a lot better on both sides.

If you go to a fast food restaurant and they forgot to put mayonnaise on your sandwich and you didn't get your extra order of fries... rather than going back to the restaurant or calling customer service to try to get it resolved you go on a fast food forum and post your feedback about not getting your order correctly, I wouldn't expect McDonalds to search that forum and find your feedback to offer you some mayonnaise and an order of fries. If you have a problem with the restaurant and want it resolved then maybe you should contact the company privately. If you don't want your fries and don't care for them to offer you anything then by all means post your opinion. I can understand this is your build thread and you found some issues. I think the best way would be to either contact the company with your findings and give them a chance to make it right... Or post your initial findings on the forum and say that you have contacted the company privately then once everything is resolved you can post how it all went and if you were satisfied or not. Ive seen a lot of companies not stand behind their product and a few that do. Trend Setters has some hulls with cracked gelcoat and 1 cracked composite layup. The people that have tactfully approached him have been taken care of, the one guy that ran his mouth on Facebook and trashed Steve on here has not received the same treatment. I'm not saying don't post your findings on here because it is good for the builder and other people to see but maybe you could have posted quickly then given Tony a chance to make it right rather than starting a pissing match online and letting everyone else jump in and give their .02 cents. It seems more like you are trying to sabotage his reputation rather than allowing him to make things right for you.

Dude your real dick. Good luck staying in business with your attitude.

From what I've read it seems like Poizen has a legimite beef with you and your hull.

Not going to quote KTM's long post, but I agree with some of the things he said. In my situation I made many attempts to get things resolved before airing it out on here.

It doesn't excuse the way Tony has approached this problem or the stance he has taken thus far... but I agree that giving him a chance to handle it privately is fair. Put this drama on pause until ya'll work everything out. Once ya'll agree.... or agree to disagree... lol... let us know how it goes.

Last time I checked, forum sites were for sharing information. It's good to know the OP's experience. It may help a member make a more educated decision in the future.

Haha. I knew that was coming. But because of people sharing their experiences I was able to take my risk knowing what to watch out for. Did anyone do that for Poizen?

Several members have made some great points...... The forums are great, but they also can have a negative flip side....... Honestly, Contacting Tony privately may have been the best course of action first, yes, you sent him a Text Message, but got no reply? Did you try Email, PM, Open Post "Hey Tony, need to talk to you", or phone call......... How long did you wait before you posted this? You backed Tony into a corner (You do have very very legitimate gripes). You back someone into a corner they are going to fight back, whether they are right or wrong....... On the flip side, Tony has not handled this well, Yes, he has cast some blame aside, given some excuses and acknowledged some of his shortcomings and said he is working on correcting some issues........ That is great also.......

The one thing that I see that is the root cause of several issues is "Communication"........ You wanted Full Foam, he may not have understood that, he does foam around the pump tunnel. You got a quote, you assumed it included crate fee's. There needs to be full disclosure of what is included in pricing (All builders need to take this into account). When I sent out proposals most of the time I have wording like "demo not figured, moving of furniture is not figured, Floor Prep is figured" etc etc

Bottom line, everything needs to be spelled out up front........... Not just from the Seller/MFG but from the Buyer also........

I hope it works out..........

Everyone says to contact him privately... If he's a pr!ck publicly on the forums I'm sure he would be real fun to deal with in private...

looks to me like somebody wanted to get MORE than they paid for. paid $2800 for a hull that needed some work and tweeking. wanted a $5000 hull that was ready to go. expected and hoped to have less issues. just like the guys that bought the first few foot rockets in the USA. they thought they were getting the introductory price, but actually they ended up getting incomplete/unfinished hulls for their LESS money paid. i like getting more than i paid for also, but it rarely happens.. i'm old and senile, so disreguard anything i said if you dont like it.

I think that whole statement is backwards. You think respectfully contacting a business in private to work out some issues or lack of communication will raise his blood pressure more than publically calling him a hack, a liar, and a theif?
