I will hopefully have mine built by then, just curious what other people think so far. I've heard pretty much only good reviews other than XJcrawler but he hasn't really given a review, more of a recommendation.

I dont really like to review something that I have only ridden once, because each hull can be setup so different.

For the one I rode, it was a glass hull with the 964 it in it and didnt have a front bondrail.

When I first hopped on the ski I found it very stable and easy to ride. Keeping the nose down is probably easier on this hull then other short ones, but once you learn how to ride shorter hulls its really a non factor. For some one coming off a stock ski, they should be able to adjust to this hull quicker then some of the other ones. At speed it stays stable and is easy very easy to ride. I find the hull turns quite flat and doesn't carve as aggressive as some of the other hulls. I know most guys on here don't care about that, but I like to still be to play around and corner hard. I think it has potential to a good all round ski.

For straight flat water freestyle, I wasn't as impressed with it as some of the other hulls out there. It doesn't seem to have the same pop out of the water as alot of the other hulls. Launching off a wave the ski felt really heavy, when you pull up on your legs you really feel the weight. I have no idea how heavy the hull was, but it definitely didn't feel any lighter coming out of the water then an XFS. I assume the hull was close in weight to an XFS, but I still find the XFS still pops out of the water easier. I'm not sure why it doesn't pop as hard, my uneducated guess's would be the intake area is too small. The same issue that has plagued every Matrix hull for flat water.

Dont ask me about surf perfomance lol, I've only ridden once in daytona

As for the splashing, you wont notice it circling around just doing setup wakes, but when you start cruising around at speed it gets annoying. If your buying an aquabot and plan on chasing boats, buy it with the front bond rail! It would be nice if TigerCraft would make a aluminum splash guard that mounts to the bottom of the hull (like a Matrix) or build it into there mold of the bottom deck. The only hull I've ever rode that splashes you in the face more is a Stunt.

The closest hull I would compare it to is an XFS in terms of ride. It rides very similar to an xfs, except a bit more stable and more nose low.

I'm someone will call me an idiot or say I biased, but I not talking down the hull. At the end of the day its a nice hull for rec riding, but I dont think its going to compete with a KDX, DVX, Circus, Chan or Hurricane for flat water performance.

Perfect review! I heard that hull was 130lbs? So that would explain the heavy feel and lack of pop.
Mine is for surf so judging by your review I will love it.

That could explain alot, I also think its a mistake to demo 130lbs hull when production hulls are suppose to weigh alot less. Trendsetterz had the same issue when they brought that green chan to daytona last year. It was a pig and rides nothing like a lightweight chan

This is a great review, even though you have the caveat that its with limited exposure. It doesn't belong here though. Maybe that guy who makes the review thingy can cut and past this into his product review tool... Nobody will ever come looking in this thread for your ride report. Ya know?

FWIW, glad the thread is back on track.

Pretty accurate review. The hull is a good beginner/rec hull. not aggressive enough for competition or serious flat water. It doesnt climb set up wakes like most hulls, and doesnt release from the water very hard, pump comes unhooked with awkward timing, feels a lot like a modified superjet hull. There were a few other hulls at body beach in the category of this hull, and it definitely isn't the worst of them all.

It might not make a big difference on a smaller motor, but I had the outerwears or pre filters over my pro k flame arresters and I chased a bogging issue all summer until I finally ripped those things off and it went away immediately. They choke your motor and as soon as they get water on them your motor just sucks in moisture constantly until they dry out.

Which hull do you have coming down to you? Don't think there will be any hulls other than Jamie's going out to Florida before Daytona.

I agree with Hink320, those things choke a motor out bad! Go with open filters or OEM F/As IMO
Or at least run them and whenever it bogs try pulling them off so you can form your own opinion

What size motor did you have them on so we know? Why we're yours getting so soaked? I have them on my 701 and my 865 stroker without any issues for 2 years and they stay mostly dry but when they do get wet I still have no issues
