Definitely seems like your attitude has improved after being able to ride it. That's a good sign

Riding has nothing to do witg my attitude change

My change is because there is nothing else to do but show the truth and make the best of what I have

It's a shame to see Poizen or anyone go through this but he is one of the few people on these forums that has brought problems with A/M hulls up.

I don't think the finger can just be pointed at Tigercraft as in this industry there are many other hulls with issues but yet they aren't really talked about or swept under the carpet so to say.

In the end it sucks to see this happen, but we are in an industry where these hulls come out of a small shop/garage and not a factory like out Yamaha and Kawasaki hulls came from. At lease with an A/M hull you get to talk to the builder(s), if you had an issue with your factory hull you most likely be told to pound sand.

Regardless, in any business communication is key are there are always 2 sides to every story. Just my 02.

How do you feel about all of this KTM?

I think it's an unfortunate situation for both parties. This hull had some flaws that should have been taken are of but it's also an introductory hull at an unbeatable price. $2800 is the cheapest AM hull I've heard of so it's really hard to expect top notch quality when you buy the first batch of hulls from a new manufacturer. The first few hull to hit the market have extremely low prices and it should be understood that doing so also comes with a risk since the low price is for 2 reasons: get a few hulls on the market to be seen and ridden for advertising purposes and also to get feedback and field testing for future improvements. The saying "practice makes perfect" makes a lot if sense. Tony is taking the proper steps to improve his product and is already on his Gen2 design... Not because he needed to make it look any different to make sales but because he felt there were improvements that needed to be made and he is taking the necessary steps to do so. Wait till TigerCraft is on their 5th Generation hull to make your comparisons for it to be fair. All new companies to through the same problems when starting out but it happens to be winter time on a jetski forum so this thread is seeing more exposure than it normally would and a lot of drama queens have nothing better to do than give their negative input. I think communication is what got this thread and the buyer/seller attitude where it's at now. Things could have been taken care of differently but I think both have just accepted the situation and moved on. Unfortunately the buyer and seller are in different countries which makes it a little more difficult to handle. Introductory hulls should probably stay more local so any issues can be sorted out better.
My experience with Tony has been great so far as I've mentioned and I've talked with many hull builders in the past... Tony has had the best communication and been the most personable so far. I understand people saying communication stopped once the money was sent but I didn't want to buy something I couldn't afford and I also hate owing people money so my hull has been paid for and communication hasn't suffered at all. I would recommend a friend to Tony without a doubt. There are really only a few companies I can say that about. I also haven't received my hull yet so I only speak of my experience so far. I have had some very specific requests for my hull that Tony hadn't done before and he was willing to work with me on everything I asked.

I agree with the first couple hulls staying local, especially for R&D. I'm just glad poizen had the knowledge to fix these issues on his own.

I think Jamie has had more contact with tony since tony is building the aquabot, Tem was just selling his personal ski to Jamie, not too drawn out of a process I guess

More personable than Tem? Really? I mean he may be a nice guy and all but.....really?

I guess I can't say that, I've ridden with Tem and talked with Tem many times. Tem just isn't much of a texter or PM discussion kind of guy which took me a bit to figure out in the beginning since I thought I was being ignored. Tem likes to talk! I would consider Tem a personal friend at this point. I was strictly referring to my purchase transaction.

These hulls are past the R&D stage. The test hulls were advertised at $3500 for the hull that now cost $5000 including turf graphics adjustable foot holds ect. That was what attracted me in the first place but when I contacted Tony they had finished testing and were the finial product. I would quote from the original thread but seems the post was edited a few months ago.

and after many attempts at contacting Tony about my missing parts I still have no reply

Glad your hulls sorted now mate, hopefully will get to ride with you when you move to the UK

this whole quality debate is all about any builder not taking the extra minutes and double checking the important things before doing or throwing something together. if you dont put enough goop between hull parts when you put it together, its going to leak. look at the SXR hull, they got green goop just pouring out of every crack. make sure you put enough goop and you wont have leak problems. i've seen and heard of this exact problem on a bunch of hulls that were put together. builders either get lazy, dont know how much goop is required, or are afraid to put too much goop cause it costs money or exrta work will be required to trim it.

It was probably 100% watertight when it left the shop. :lmao:

I can't wait to hear how this is the customer's fault.

$2800 is less than $3500 which makes this hull still introductory. I don't know what you paid but I paid more and will expect more because of this. Tony did reply to you. I didn't mention it on your thread since it doesn't involve me but I brought it to his attention when I saw your thread and he replied to you on 12/11

imo price shouldn't matter, you payed for a product that basically you didn't receive. wasnt built how you asked, deff wasnt built to last or get abused like a ski should be and with all those leaks and no foam how long before its sitting on the bottom somewhere.

Who cares what he paid, no hull should leak like that! I was pissed when my bob leaked after a year. I cant even imagine how mad I would be if it came out of the box like that

I agree with you 100%. I think Tony gave himself a lot of bad advertising between Poizen and ADZuk. I would have thought a new hull company would want to start off on the right foot and show the quality of their work, it looks like the composites part of it is quality, but there is a lot of stuff that is sub par in my books.

Yeh $3500 is more than $2800 but $3500 was for a hull including all the extras, turf, graphics, adj footholds. For all that you are talking $5000 now. Mical has got a bare hull at full price.

Yeh Tony replyed on the 12/11/13 saying your parts were shipped. Since then I have tried to get in touch a minimum of 7 times as nothing has arrived and I was wanting to get a tracking number. I've had no reply at all and it's now 17/12/13, don't have a clue why he's not replyed but why blank me?!

well if poizens hull is so "introductory" then maybe tigercraft should chock it up to r&d and eat the cost of sending him a new and proper hull. maybe he might spare his name. I hope ktms hull and his special requests don't get handled like poizens did. who needs foam or a sealed up hull in the surf anyway lol
if I recall correctly poizen didn't have anything negative to say either till his showed up
