they sure do know how to rape and with no Vaseline either

costs would of been just under 700$ but customs got involved because they messed up the paper work again welcome to Africa

they stated that my hull weighed in at 6tons so customs were like wtf how can he claim duty free on 6tons and then the hair pulling began

they wanted certificates to prove it was manufactured in USA then they wanted 10% duty for the hull as its a sport craft now ( it should be duty free but I paid because the storage fees would cost more than the duty while trying to contest the duty charges)

its been a long experience I will not see myself doing again until im a millionaire

but at least its here and getting picked up in 4 hours YAY

The BOT has arrived

Its here its finally here only about 2Months late( but i guess all hull builders work on same deadlines)

I got some good and bad to chat about but i believe in honesty so y'all going to get my honesty.

Okay so where do we start....:reporter:

I contacted Tony and he was Great answered all my questions made me feel confident about handing my hard earned money over so i paid me deposit on 12th July 2013.
I was promised 3-4 weeks as i wasn't getting anything fancy ( adj foot holds, turf, decals etc)

all was well for a couple weeks then things went sour communications became far and few with sometimes 2 word answers.

this is my order

2013 Glass Aqua-bot
white gel coat
fixed foot holds
foam
no- skupper or versi plugs
pole bracket and breather tubes
midshaft spacer

needless to say he got most of the order right

The items I did not receive are

midshaft spacer
breather tubes
foam
hardware for rideplate

ok Maybe he forgot but if thats true its unprofessional and i know im not the only customer that never received parts

ok so regardless of that after all the wait all the customs troubles I finally have my ski and i feel relieved but I got some bad tastes in my mouth from this whole deal.

this is all the bad things i have encountered with this hull starting from the very begning

1)Create costs( i was only told a week before my hull shipped about the 160$ create costs. to which i was under the impression that was in my costs) not to mention its a horrible looking create cheap old wood

2) Delivery/drop off charges.( this left a very bitter taste in my mouth. when doing the deal i asked tony if he could please drop the hull off in philly that isnt far from his house google maps say 40-50min, He agreed and said sure he doesn't mind and will help me out. reason for this is philly had a direct shipping depot so I saved 200$.
so a week before delivery i get told no thats to far and out of his way if i want my hull dropped off there it will be 150$. im like wtf you said you would drop it off free now its 150$.

3) missing parts( mentioned above)

4)all holes where tony has drilled in the hull is rough the gell coat has chipped all around the holes etc

5) biggest messup and i know im not the only Aquabot with this problem but the pump wont line up to the shoe its got a 3-4mm gap all around and i cant get any closer because of pump bolts see pictures

6) steering hull fitting is skew

but yeah i am happy its a very nice hull and im happy that i finally get to ski again. the ski weighed in at 40KG much lighter than my 70KG super hull

and other pictures

Looks good other than those issues. That's gotta suck to get a brand new hull and immediately have issues with it, especially with an extra two month wait.

First job on my Aquabot was to have the pump shoe smashed out and a new one installed properly.

Glad you've got it now and can get back out on the water. What are you going to do about it having no foam?

Just waiting for the missing parts from mine now, hoping they arrive soon!

Sorry to hear about the added costs and imperfections. I felt the same way about the imperfections from a different builder too, but once you set it up all you'll be thinking about riding. Try to over look the bad and look at the good. One thing is for sure, you know you probably wont be going back down the same road again. Based on your machining skills, I think it will be flawless when your done with it. Congrats on the new ride!

.Thanks for posting your feedback. We understand your concerns about the issues you have found.

This hull was among the first hulls we produced. With any new product, we knew there would would be small issues on the first few that would need some adjustments/work, and as such, we offered big discounts on the first hulls out the door to make up for the imperfections . We have since gone back and made adjustments, changed a few lines, and revised the molds to address these issues. We are also now working on hulls full time.

Crate charges are what they are. Wood costs money, hardware costs money, paying an employee to build one costs money. Driving over 2 hours round trip costs money. Philly is not a quick and easy trip.

This hull was foamed, not sure where the assumption that it is not is coming from?

It looks like the pump shoe was adjusted after it left the shop? We use pan head screws and add two small washers to the top two tabs to fit correctly. While not a perfect fit, it does line up better than what is pictured and all hardware is tightened down.

The hull did take longer than planned as Tony was building them part time after working a full time job. 3-4 weeks was never agreed to. Hull was dropped off at the terminal during the first week of October. We can not control the month long transit time from the transportation/delivery companies.

Apologies for the errors you encountered, we are a new company and are taking all the necessary steps to correct the issues our customers have encountered. We have taken all the feedback we have received and implemented changes to improve our production and product. We are now doing this full time with employees and have revised the molds and assembly/packing process. We will be launching the Aquabot V2 in a couple of weeks.

We did go out of our way to accommodate all the requests and changes you made numerous times. We hope overall you are satisfied with the deal you received (well below what we are charging now) and will work to correct the missing items from your order.

Please contact us directly at tigercraftUSA@gmail.com so we can resolve the issues.

are you being serious with me now??

ski foamed ok i will make a video and knock on it and you can hear it is as hollow as anything....

you telling me that is not how the pump shoe left your shop? so someone on the ship opened my crate and adjusted my pump shoe WTF
those pictures are as i took it out the create and the fact you insinuating that i have altered it makes me laugh

not to mention that the shoe is glued/sealed in there so its impossible for me to move it..yes blame your customer for your mistakes

man up and admit it its not only my hull

you are a new company fine but then this is when you need to seriously be triple checking your work before it leaves the door

should i post the messages that show that he said 3-4 weeks?

i understand there was a 1month shipping time thats the only time during this whole process that was on time

That hull should of never left there shop. Shouldnt of left with pump shoe like that gel coat cracking around where holes were drilled obviously from the wrong side

i dont mind a few mistakes after al it is a Am hull from a new company mistakes are expected

but and a big but

when do you start calling your customers lairs and saying they altered the biggest flaw on your product

( yes i messed up the perfect fitting shoe your sent so i can take pics and make more work for myself thats how i roll)

you going about customer service the total wrong way and it will backfire

i just feel becaue me and ADZ are out of country customers we got screwed as looking at reviews all the stateside hulls are perfect

unless people are scared to speak their minds
