Other Power Factor Pipe Users - Requesting measurements for custom gas tank

I would try to get it molded in plastic. Tooling will be costly, but production will be way cheaper than having aluminum tanks welded up each time. Find someone that specializes in roto molding.

Custom aluminum tank mfg in Florida hasn't responded, time to throw my money at someone else.

Talk to speedytanks.com, he made me a tank a couple years back. He makes
any shape you want. Pretty fast turn around too.

I would rather have a plastic gas tank, but the cost is what is not looking pretty. And if 100 people say they'll buy one, only 5 would probably actually do it. Aluminum is probably my best bet. I've sent an e-mail to both places you guys mentioned above.

coming from a machining back ground and spending count less hours in the heating and cooling/weld shop if you got all the measurements out of cad and on to paper a normal human can read. a sheet metal shop could shear you up the parts in a few hours drop it off at the weld shop and have it tig up for a lot of money but look around judging by your drawling you know people with that skill

Your tank design looks sweet, having approximately 5 gal is worth the cash, what ever route you choose. The tank I listed gives me approximately 7 gallons on a thirsty sxr. It is worth every penny and is way better then an annoying tow back. Good luck with the tank, I am sure you will be happy with it when it's done.

A friend made this tank for me. It can hold a little over 3 1/2 gallons.
