Pump stuff is aligned and installed. It was a real biatch to get it in but she has a good pump seal and alignment I believe.

I also threw some couch mounts in for good measure. I pushed them as far out as possible to lower the motor. 20190715_172935.jpg20190715_172952.jpg

I got the engine set in place and all of the hoses clamped for the cooling. Alignment looks good but I need to inspect it further. Only got two hours in today but I will be going back tomorrow.20190717_141359.jpg20190717_141407.jpg20190717_141244.jpg20190717_141608.jpg20190717_141412.jpg20190717_141518.jpg

@Quinc , You are sort of the Coffman Sizzler Guru. I got some temp strips and I was wondering where on the chamber I should put one, and what temp am I shooting for? Additionally, should I monitor manifold or headpipe temperature and if so what am I shooting for there?

Also what have you found when messing with water pressure and flow in regards to improving the pipe?

Starting out I was going to restrict all the outlets for engine and pipe to 1/4. The pipe has its own 3/8 feed at full pump pressure so its more pressure than most setups. I can restrict before the pipe to lower the flow and pressure if it has too much cooling or water injecting into the pipe.

And one last thing. Anyone know what temp I should look for on the head? Im sticking a temp strip on it to monitor temperatures. I know it climbs as you are taking the hood off I just dont know what temp to run at and how much it climbs.

Thanks a bunch for the help.

cylinders should be around 140

For the chamber you cant really adjust the headpipe pissing water like you can with a bpipe. Best thing would be to drill it out and put a sprayer that you could adjust with jets. However, I would run it as is with a T before the stinger and a seat out of a carb drilled to 2mm and a FCV for now. Then mess with a spray bar if you plan on keeping it.

I really want to plug the pin hole and put a spray bar in next time the pipe is out. I dont want to put it close to the exhaust ports like some do due to moisture. I would prefer to put it right before the first coupler, fairly close to its stock pin hole. It however is jacketed in that area. Could I somehow fill a small section of it with epoxy to make a tap-able surface?

Im keeping the coffman for sure. Its bulletproof and plenty of pipe for what I am wanting I think.

Edit: @Jr. answered my question in a Bpipe thread. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?thre...stead-of-the-water-screw.195747/#post-2030005

Real life is throwing a few curve balls at me so it's slower going than it should be. I got the exhaust fitted and plumbed. All I have left now are the little things like gas tank, batteries, and a couple hoses here and there. I also installed 3/16 restrictors on the the pisser hoses, stinger, and silencer.

I might have missed it, but why dual batteries?

You did not miss anything. They are light and were cheap and I figured im always carrying a spare with me if it ever craps out. Also it draws the straps nice and tight lol. Im just running the bilges off it in preparation for total loss where I dont want any extra draw on the main battery.

It was easier to run two batteries vs getting shorter straps or spacing it up with foam. I am not a fan of the spacer legs they include with the lipos.

To be honest its still sucking down quite a bit when I blip it, not as bad as before however. I may have to add a hole on the back of the hood with a frog skin. I am thinking the 3.5 circle right in the center between my hood straps. That would let me add a second 2.25 drop tube in the future and still flow enough through the hood holes.

Any ideas are welcome of course.

Assuming the weather clears its water test day! I was going to put it in the tank first but I like to live dangerously.
