Project RiverRat II

I had a pretty straight forward conversation with him. I think he could tell I was pretty adjitated (which is sometimes difficult b/c I am a pretty mellow guy). I don't think that he will be building prepreg x-jets or f1-pro's anytime soon. Both my ski and Mike's F1 are one off custom ski's and he expressed no desire to ever build them again. The F1 is just nuts and the x-jet is a 2 peice mold that is a PIA to lay up in prepreg b/c of the handlepole bracket area.

When he designed the REV he did all that with prepreg in mind and I think he just has a better system down for their construction. Looks to me like he can produce a REV (in glass or prepreg glass) allot easier than the X-jet. He has a team of guys that he has trained to do certain parts of each build in the composite shop, but the pre-preg stuff is all Jeff and he stay busy all the time.....which is why he has been hard to contact via phone.

Needless to say I did get confirmation that the hull is in transit. Just crossing my fingers that everything goes smooth from here on out. If I get a call saying they have the wrong address and the ski is in limbo I think I am just going to snap

i feel you dude. i really hope you get it try to finsh it before allatoona id like to try it out. take a few days off work theirs a nasty flue going around :sneaky:

:haha: I think I have let the altoona goal go to the way side. We will see :sneaky: I may bring the hull......all depends on my work schedule. I have been getting allot of OT opprotunities and can't pass up the $$

You're still not behind me. I just got my hull back from paint and I'm doing graphics this weekend. I still have to finish all my aluminum polishing and install EVERYTHING. Get it done. You have plenty of time.

Have you seen the top secret :sneaky: Team Scream limited pipe modification that chuck's using on his skis? He uses a different diameter exhaust outlet and welds a shield around it to keep the water from coming back into the chamber. It looks like a great idea and it uses the same 2-1/4" outside diameter hose as the stock waterbox.

I might be running something like this soon, with a custom water box and aluminum tubing.

More pics of this mod please.

Chucky uses a smaller stinger with his engine packages. This isn't a modification just anyone should do. It is designed to work with the way he sets up his engines. You need to figure in your compression ratio/dome design, ignition timing, fuel your running and the type of riding you do when running a smaller stinger otherwise you can cause detonation.

It should only take two nights to put together. You don't even have to sand or paint it!

Cmon Rat... who needs sleep?

That is comforting b/c I only have about 2 days available to work on it  No biggie, if I don't get it this week I am putting my stuff in a roundnose so i will be riding in GA :cheer:

Nope.......according to Pilots shipping agreement if you don't have it by 5pm on the 5th day the freight is free. :boggled: I'm going to push for that.

I'll bet that only counts if the hull has actually been shipped.:haha:

I don't have a tracking number yet but I have a feeling that it is in bound. jeff said that they have my number and will do a call ahead to tell me that a driver will be at my house between say 1-4, so be there to help off load. I am off the next two days so it should work out well.

My buddy is loaning me his hull and I will be putting my motor in it to ride in GA.
