Awesome, thanks Chris for the dummy version of the switch wiring. I'll also check the ground wire you mentioned on the blue plug.

Regarding KISS, I totally agree. I deleted the other wiring harnesses and filled them with silicone sealant (But still looking for stock blank black caps).

I'm dying to get this in the water...especially after seeing SuperJetJim's video of his GP1200 B1. I want to go THAT fast ;)

You'll love it, acceleration like this should be a felony lol.

Turf

I am going to use a roll of black diamond which I think will look much better than the groove turf kit I have. I'll use the kit as a template.

The bare surface while I was fixing the electrical

Covered it with adhesive

Used this 3M stuff for the first time

You have to spray both surfaces just like contact cement, then hammer it down

Hood breather hose

The rear breather needs to be relocated due to the 1100 motor. If you noticed in an earlier post, I fiberglasses the old opening. Now I took some double stick tape and tried various positions until I found one that worked. It did need the hose end cut in addition to the new position

I would recommend a piece of turf by the post where the seat rest in the rear. I saw your rubbers were pretty wore out like most of them. So to keep the seat from contacting the paint and wearing the glass add a piece of turf where those rear bumpers hit the hull. IMG_4029copu.jpg

Busy weekend Rick! Turf looks nice
Can see the quality of the paint job with the light shining on it.

What's left to do now?
Just about done. Need to complete the permanent hood install including steering. Route the cooling lines which isn't a big deal except for the special stuff I need to do for the exhaust sprayer. Then button up all the fuel and wiring into harnesses. I'm not doing the battery relocation until after I test ride the ski.

With the hood off again, I thought I'd take a pic from an angle you normally don't get to see. Man if I could stop starring at this thing, I would be done now! ;)

Handle Bars

I selected the Pro Taper 7/8 Schoolboy High. I realized you have to file off the nub which holds the start stop switch in position to the stock bars

Scottie and other experienced Kawi 1100 convertors,
What are your thoughts on installing a flow control valve to the stinger on a 1100 dry pipe mod?
