RICKTER talk

Thanks now I can grab some on my way home from work. Really appreciate it.

Bought m8 last night. It's definitely m10. I bought standard pitch m10 and those arent threading in. This is my first aftermarket hull. I should have bought a donor ski but couldn't find a good one. I have spent way too much time just trying to get the right bolts and lengths.

We're in the same boat. I'd ask JetManiac. I've made about 30+ orders of stuff for my ski, and lately I've been making mass McMaster Carr orders for random M6, M8 bolts of various lengths. Every little thing I do I encounter a problem to figure out. Good news is, I think I'm about done, just need to wrap up a few things.

If you need a whack of bolts when I'm done, I'll sell you a grab bag of a bunch of leftovers if you're interested.

No News from havasu about 2017 rickter Models???

In France there is a Hybrid xfs fiberglass with carbon for test more light than the normal xfs.

I cant say for sure bc I haven't built one but my 2016 XFR was plug n play with a 155pump. I would think that it would. That said I think installing a pump thats larger than the oem size is not as difficult as it gets made out to be. I put a 155 in a 2014 XFS that was sized for 144/148 and there were a lot of other issues that were more challenging that getting a big pump in during the process of building that ski. If you are in france then give Pierre a call- he will know and if its an issue for you to do yourself Im sure he can do it for you.

One Last thought to consider, I have no idea what your build plans are but if this is going to be primarily a surf hull, are you sure you need a 155? Generally the best surf setups have power plants that would be perfect with a 148. Pumps are wildly misunderstood and too big of a pump relative to the motor is generally going to hurt performance not help it (the pressure generated is what matters not size). If you already have a 155 and are trying to make it work then Im sure it can be done. On the other hand, if you are planning to do flatwater then you can make it work or better yet consider a shorter hull more suited for that application. Take it from me as one who did a glass XFR with the intent of it being a dual purpose build. It was a great hull and ski for what it was but I was disappointed in both surf and flatwater because there were sacrifices in both areas in going the hybrid route. Good luck with the build whatever you decide to do. If you want a 155 in your edge I have no doubt it can be done without too much challenge.

Thanks for the reply.
Nothing is decided at the moment I'm just trying to improve my machine like everyone else.
The last Edge FR built by mx100 has a 155 pump.
Winter is still long enough to decide :)

does anyone know if the 2013-14 evo fs2 is more stronger/durable than a reinforced superjet (that has been done right)?
it would be ridden in the surf...
I have a professionally done by blowsion reinforced 2006 superjet now..
can get a good deal on a very little used 2014 evo fs2 and I'm wondering if it would be worth switching hulls..
I like the way the evo rides better than the superjet is why I'm considering switching hulls..

The FR has a stronger layup. Your best bet would be to contact Taylor at TCFreeride. He would be the best person to answer this question. I would imagine you could reinforce the FS2 if need be. They are great surf hulls.

A FS is definitely still stronger. Let alone the design of it is far better in surf then a cut up thickened Sj.

I knew the FR was a better layup for surf... FR (freeride)... fs (freestyle)...but the deal might be too good to pass up...if I don't end up with a (weak) hull for surf riding..
I wouldn't be doing ariel maneuvers any higher than about 15 feet in the air..
if I was going bigger than I wouldn't consider and fs2 at all..
I will talk to Curtis also...thanks..

M10 but pitch is 1.25

I beat you got m10 1.5

Does anyone know what the length and rough weight of a built fr2 ski needing to know for shipping. Cheers
