RICKTER talk

Hey guys! Just bought my first rickter (edge) and need some advice on building it/what parts I need.
Can the ebox be mounted on the firewall? I Have only seen people mount them on the side of the ski? Also do I need to use the rrp couplers to use a bpipe in the hull and still be able to mount the ebox on the firewall?

@brylon644 Mine has the extended cold fusion ones. My ebox is on the firewall but is a really pain to get too. It's mounted with a couch backing plate because the cold fusion one puts it to close to the b-pipe. But then again mine is a FR-2. The motor mounts are also all the way forward on mine too.

Mines mounted on the right side above the battery box. Youll hate having it on the firewall. No room to mess with it in case something breaks.

For all you Rickter guys that use stock midshaft with grease zirk. Just cut off the small tab and bend the bracket 90* where it bolts to the surface and an easily accessible point on the coupler cover.

Does anyone have any experience with the RRP Flowguard? I currently have a Thrust Pro trim I've been told the Flowguard would greatly help.

To you guys who have built an edge... did you use a midshaft spacer(between the midshaft and firewall? My midshaft sticks about a quarter inch off the firewall. I have a new sj midshaft

You may need a spacer behind the coupler, but I think you can buy Rickter sized couplers from JetManiac, same with the driveshaft to get full spline engagement!

On my 2016 Edge build my shaft was the correct length and I a brand new mid-shaft and I still needed to use the Cold Fusion spacer (about 3 mm thick) to give me the 1-2 mm I need to make my mid-shaft fit perfectly. On a Bob gen 2 I had I drilled out the pump mounting holes (made them longer) so I could mount the pump back a few mm to make it fit. But then I had to use two pump seals (kind of getto but it worked fine).

I did what dmpus is talking about. Put the mid shaft in the press and moved it towards the engine a couple Mills.
