I agree. My buddy just got an xfs with 1000cc xscream engine. The video is amazing, IMO.

it was very impressive,
but dont forget who was riding it, Rok has a world champion and the legend Rick Roy, they only proved it is possible, but that dont mean that anyone will do it

talent goes a good ways to make the ordinary look extraordinary, was pretty crazy for a stock pipe, those cant get out of their own way

Brian,am I wrong? are they hand laid glass are they made from a cheaper type of ester resin?have also read the paint practically falls off and the turf has to be removed to pad the tray for surf on other models? a unreinforced sj,lasts about 1 day in the junkie crew, guess it depends on whos riding them

Do you want to sell me a 'back flip hull' , put somebody from the X that has never flipped a ski on the all new 'back flip hull' and post a video of them flipping it. I am NOT knocking DK or RR or EM, but a PRO level rider bustin backys on the new hull of the week does not mean someone that sucks as bad as I do can buy it and become a backfliper right off the bat. There are vids of a very dedicated guy on this very website landing on his head most of the summer before he started landing them and he was on a dedicated backflip hull. Now with that said, I am NOT knocking the rider or the hull builder, I AM however saying that the advertising aim is a lil on the mis-leading side. There are pros and cons to everything and the pros in this situation is we have hull competition like we have never seen and all the builders have the same common goal, GROW THE MARKET/SPORT which in my opinion is a dam good thing!!!

Not sure about the new ski but the FS1 and FS2 are resin infused using Vinyl ester (the most expensive ester)

I resemble that remark. I would have to add that even if it took me the summer to land them, it would have taken even longer on a different hull. I'm happy with the results. I forced myself to learn by building a dedicated ski. I can backflip. Now on to the next trick. When is somebody gonna build a dedicated barrel roll hull? LOL

No doubt that a regular rider won't flip any of these hulls in one day. It takes lots of practice even with a backflip hull. I love all these new hulls though.

I love this hull. I have always liked the fit and finish of a Rickter. He has taken the hull to yet another leven AGAIN. RR deserves NO bashing in this sport. His prices are set by demand, not just greed alone. Four years ago the package comperable to RR $18k set up was near $30K from Malone, How soon we forget.
Malone has also now made his hull avail and has dropped the price. Choices are dropping prices for us and making it possible to actually obtain these hulls and complete skis.
I credit people like RR and X-metal for pushing a little larger production to decrease pricing. Thats a step in any industry or business that involves huge risks for hopefully huge payoff down the line. It seems to have worked well for these to luckily but could have easily cost them $$$$ with not future returns to speak of. They did it through a resetion no less.
Major props.

On another note, Dont expect to buy one of these hulls and never have issues. They are NOT bullet proof and thats been proven over and over. I think I have seen one aftermarket or OEM hull that has stood the test of a pro and agressive amature abuse over time without repair or signs of future repar needed. and this is after all a fiberglass hull.
Sad thing is that hull was not designed this well.

what?? lets take ALL the fun out of it, you dont even have to ride skis get in the seat put a quarter in the slot and get upside down. yaaaaaaay.

this hull is sick, possibly the sickest riding boat yet, and its still not good enough?? hahaha

Shane, in no way did I mean to bash you or your hull. I hope it came across that I was commending you on your dedication to pulling it off! That really is how I meant it to come across. I commend DK BIG TIME for coming out with a line of hulls that just about everyone can afford. My only point is the vids posted here that get all of us hot and bothered have people flipping these hulls that are probaly capable of flipping a pontoon boat. lol And that statement goes 2 ways, commending these guys on their mad skills and also implying that anyone can do it now. Everyone can do it as long as they are as committed as you were this summer.

And yes, I need a hull that does rolls for me after I insert a quarter. lol Everyone has rolled my ski but me and I have got to see my ski bust a flatwater backy off of a setup wake that really pissed me off because it showed me 2 things, I have the power and I am the worlds biggest pu$$y. lol

Bro-I love the FSX and might even buy one. I am going to buy a hull and have a ski ready by next spring but now the choices are seemingly endless in the 6500.00 or less category which is awesome and yet confusing as hell. lol

gil , i will have a small engine demo shortly anyone willing to come to florida can demo it anytime ,
i agree not everyone can do a backflip with this hull , but it sure will increase those number by a large margine if you spend a little more where it count to make it easier .

the stock engined xfs from the video just landed in australia.

its now had a bpipe and a head added.

I have never ever backflipped a jetski even in the surf and was doing it all wrong but i could get it just past horizontal upside down (hitting the top side of the nose first).

the hardest part isnt the flip with this boat.. its timing your setup wake.

There's only a 6 lbs difference between carbon and glass?
Are you sure?
$3k is a lot for 6 lbs.
