Leaving the bond line is very possible i wouldve left mine when i rockered it but i didnt know i could until i already cut it off. I ended up cutting the top of the rocker off so it would mount under the top of the hull instead of on top that way it didnt enterfer with my gas cap and it looks a lot better that way. I posted some pics somewhere on one of these rocker threads. Check it out u can clearly c its possible to leave the bond line in tye front. In my case it was to late by the time i figured out i couldve done it.
You can always build another!
The one thing I do like about removing the bond line is it reduces the risk of smashing the front end off in an encounter with a sandbar. Most of my busted noses have looked as though the bond line was folded downwards, breaking the fiberglass around the base of the bond line. I have hit bottom loads of times pretty hard with the new nose I did without the bond line and havent had any issues.
If you leave the bond line, make sure its solid as a rock! I saw pics on a nose reinforcement done by Mike Serlin I believe, where he had loaded up the front with fiberglass to keep it strong. B1 would have to be pretty thick as the bond line is longer on the front that a SJ so it gives way easier.
